Bomb explosions in Baghdad kill 14

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Four bomb attacks targeting police patrols in Baghdad left at least 14 people dead and more than 40 wounded on Thursday morning, police said.

A suicide car bomb targeting a police patrol outside a gas station near the Elouya Hospital in central Baghdad killed 10 people, including three policemen, and wounded 21, police said.

Earlier, a bomb hidden under a parked car near al-Nidaa Mosque in northern Baghdad exploded as a police patrol passed by, killing three civilians and wounding 20, police Lt. Thair Mahmoud said.

The wounded included several members of the Iraqi security forces, said Zakariyah Hassan of the Azamiyah police.

f**king Christ. Every godd**mned time I read about this, the phrase "what fresh hell is this?" occurs to me. It's getting so bad, I dont' even know what to say, EXCEPT this. WHAT FUCKING FRESH HELL IS THIS? And perhaps, how MUCH MORE can the Iraqi people endure? How much more can our troops endure? And do any of them even WANT to anymore?

I canot IMAGINE living amongst this constant pain and loss and horror. How can anyone maintain their sanity there?

this will significantly slow them down. Really. No kidding. It will. They promise.

It seems there's a never ending supply of #2s in Iraq. There must be a huge #2 factory someplace north, south, east or west of Baghdad. :eyes:
