A dozen die in Iraq bombings; more bodies found

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- At least six civilians were killed and 46 wounded Wednesday in Baghdad bombings, emergency police said, hours after authorities discovered more than a dozen bodies showing signs of torture.

The latest carnage involved a car bomb, followed shortly afterward by a roadside bomb in northern Baghdad's Qahira neighborhood.

Overnight, police found 19 bodies across the Iraqi capital, all showing signs of torture.

On Tuesday, seven bullet-riddled bodies were found in Baghdad. A day earlier, Iraqi police found 40 bullet-torn bodies in the Iraqi capital, a police official said. (Full story)
