5. But, we (John Russell) won our primary in the 5th.
Pretty decisive. 49%, 39%, 12%, in a three way race.

Now we're gonna kick Ginny Brown Waite's butt!!!

9. I had not realized that...congrats.
I am always kind of happy to see the candidate win whom the party left behind against the one who got flown to DC for training.

15. Only two candidates actually campaigned
I was really surprised that the winner didn't get at least 50%. The campaign was so nasty that some voters could not vote for either one.

13. I talked to someone who has worked with Crist. Dumb as a post and denies

being gay, but is a really good politician, he remembers people's names when introduced, looks people straight in the eye when he talks to them etc. comes off sincere and people like that. He's a career politician and has name recognition. Jeb has already pledged to go on the campaign trail.

Really really hope Davis runs a good campaign ... he doesn't have much time. The primary debate was canceled because of hurricane threats and a lot of people still don't know who he is. He has not been very responsive to his constituents and it hurt him and got stiff competition from Smith. Plus the rethugs are going wave around his voting record.
