Oil Prices Ease as Demand, Risk Fall
Tuesday, September 5, 2006; Page D01

Crude oil prices fell to a 15-week low in New York yesterday as the U.S. summer travel season ended and traders speculated that a dispute with Iran about nuclear research may be resolved without curtailing exports.

Iran, the world's fourth-largest oil producer, wants a negotiated solution to a demand that it stop enriching uranium, United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan said yesterday.

U.S. gasoline use usually rises 5 percent in the summer, then drops after Labor Day.

"A lot of risk premiums haven't materialized," said Tom Hammervold, an oil trader at Norsk Hydro ASA in Oslo. "There are no issues at the moment to support the price."

3. Could this be anymore transparent?
It should be investigated as an attempt to bribe voters.

These crooks really do take advantage of the idiocy of the Average American.

C'mon America, don't let Bush buy a continued majority in both houses for a few cents a gallon.

5. Look at this chart -- how does it square with the article?
http://www.ioga.com/Special/crudeoil_Hist.htm

I see no historical reliable magic drop in gas prices after Labor Day. Several times it appears that September is the most expensive month, and often the price picks up again in November or December.

That article is propaganda.

10. Sounds like Gov-Big OIl Conspiracy
Why is that Oil Price started to go down, just a few month
before Dubya's GOP buddies are starting to look for renewal of
the cushy jobs in Washington. Could it be that

1. Big Oil is helping them?

2. A few phones calls from the Oval Office to the Good Ol'Boys
of Oil - to help their GOP bosses in need?
