3rd COSCOM PAO/210th MPAD

LOGISTICAL SUPPORT AREA ANACONDA, Iraq – A Soldier from the 1st Brigade, 34th Infantry Division was killed by an improvised explosive device while conducting a routine security mission at approximately 12:05 p.m., August 30.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.

6. I still occasionally keep up with guys I served with

Just noticed the other week how many folks from my unit have been killed, and being from a Special Forces Group you're dealing with a smaller unit size that a regular unit anyway (Group = Regiment rougly) so it's even more like a family even if they are in another battalion. But yeah I can't imagine the toll buds are going through for this shit.

God I hate Bush.
