AP: Democratic Candidate Blasts Rumsfeld
Democratic Candidate Blasts Rumsfeld

Wednesday August 30, 2006 6:16 PM

By DEVLIN BARRETT

Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - A House Democratic candidate accused Defense Secretary
Donald H. Rumsfeld of lying about the progress in Iraq, a day after the
Pentagon chief lashed out at critics of the Bush administration.

"After 21 months of trying to find something I can agree with Secretary
Rumsfeld on, it is true: the American people are being lied to and I totally
agree with Secretary Rumsfeld," Eric Massa, a Navy veteran, said Wednesday.
"What I disagree with is the fact that he's the one doing the lying."

The New York Democrat and another House candidate, Tim Walz, discussed
Rumsfeld's speech in a conference call with reporters. The national party had
arranged the call.

On Tuesday, Rumsfeld told veterans at an American Legion meeting that the world
faces "a new type of fascism" and warned against repeating the pre-World War II
mistake of appeasement.

Here's hoping that not all Democrats are complicit with the BushCo Family Evil Empire, and that more get the Constitutional religion.

4. That's my candidate
NY-29th, www.massaforcongress.com. He needs financial help, still hurting from the wrong perception that this is a tougher win than it actually is(despite gaffes and inexperience we almost won it last time). This lack of support only makes a weak warchest a self-fulfilling assessment. he's up against the toad Randy Kuhl who has slithered from Albany to DC without skipping a lobbyist check.

A Clarke friend, veteran and convert to the right side he is absolutely perfect for our district. He's from the Capitol so he knows these guys all too well, which is why he is now a Democrat and a force. The only way Rumsfeld is going out is in the collapse of all the schemes, taking our foreign policy and military down with his sorry a$$. That, or a Democratic Congress to take him down by sheer accountability hearings.

7. Trying to ruin the Internet?
Edited on Wed Aug-30-06 07:59 PM by SimpleTrend
In his speech, Rumsfeld criticized the media for paying more attention to a single soldier accused of misconduct than a soldier awarded a Medal of Honor, saying the fight against terrorism is fought in part on the Internet and in the media.

So, we all know how skewed the corporatist media is in viewpoint, the thrust seems to be to get the Internet on the same skew page.
