Former House majority leader Bosse in legal trouble again (NH)

CONCORD, N.H. --A former House majority leader, judge and Republican candidate for state Senate and governor is facing criminal charges and possible loss of his law license for forging real estate documents, records show.

Leigh Bosse, 59, of Hillsboro, has already lost his Realtor's license for the forgeries. He has also been indicted in Hillsborough County Superior Court on two counts of forgery and faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.

Bosse has admitted to signing a landowner's name on sale documents for property he hoped to sell near Emerald Lake, even though the owner had not yet agreed to market the land through Bosse's firm, according to documents at the state's Attorney Discipline Office.

The prosecutor for the discipline office is seeking to have Bosse disbarred. Bosse and his lawyer, David Garfunkel, are asking for public censure instead.
