Harris campaign awaits her cash
Edited on Sat Aug-26-06 06:56 AM by DoYouEverWonder
August 26, 2006

TAMPA - After months of hearing members of even her own party second-guess her run for the U.S. Senate, Katherine Harris said she would pump $10-million of her own money into her financially strapped campaign.

In an emotional announcement on national TV in March, Harris said she would use every penny her late father had left her.

Minutes later, while still in the New York studio where she made the announcement, Harris received a call from her sister. She and their brother were furious that she had not told them she was going to spend family money on her campaign, according to her former senior consultant Ed Rollins, who was with her that night.

In the days that followed, several former staffers, including Rollins, said Harris learned she would not directly receive any inheritance from her father. Instead, his assets, reported to be as much as $100-million, were left to her mother, Harriet.

OMG, she even lied about the money. LOL.

1. Barking-at-cars crazy, that woman is...

From the Urban Dictionary:

1. Katherine Harris crazy 155 up, 8 down

(n.) As insanely optimistic as Congresswoman Katherine Harris. Usually characterized by an overly optimistic estimation of someone's chances of achieving success.

Did you hear Jim just bought 500 dollars in lottery tickets? That boy is Katherine Harris crazy if he thinks he's going to hit the jackpot.

3. Harris' Father knew she would waste her inheritance, so he didn't
leave her anything. He knows of her addiction and overuse of makeup products, and predicts that given the opportunity, she'd have boobs the size of Dolly Parton's. He knew of Katherine's penchant for overdoing everything, and feared she would become some sort of sick joke, to be made fun of around the world, a comical character.

And Katherine has proven that she doesn't need her Father's money to do all that, she's done it anyway. (Except for the Dolly boobs, but she's got the starter kit in place.)

4. Oh, what about your widow's mite, Kathy? Your pearl of great price?
Edited on Sat Aug-26-06 07:12 AM by tanyev
Friends and advisers say Harris has been deeply religious all her life, but religion recently has become a central part of her campaign. Campaign staffers warily describe Harris as leading a "Christian crusade."

Harris also hinted at her increased emphasis on her Christian faith when she talked to ABC's Nightline last week about spending $10-million of her own money to jump-start her Senate campaign.

"I am willing to take this widow's mite, this pearl of great price, and put everything on the line. No matter how much you have, are you willing to take what you have and sell it all for a great price," Harris said in the transcript provided by ABC News.

The widow's mite refers to a New Testament parable about a poor woman giving what little money she had to the temple.

http://www.sptimes.com/2006/03/24/State/Harris_puts_her_faith.shtml

Now people can not only be described as "Katherine Harris crazy", they can also be described as "Katherine Harris hypocritical". Or "Katherine Harris delusional".

50. Hmmm, I always thought that pearl was a hymen!
And we know she ain't totin' one of them around nowadays....

This bit slayed me:

"I'm selling everything I have," she said repeatedly. Harris donated $3-million to her campaign, though she later took back $100,000 - a move that fueled speculation that she did not have the $10-million.

Now, five months later, Republican operatives and political watchers say the Harris campaign may have seen the last of her personal resources. They doubt she will put more money into a race almost no one expects her to win.

"She's crazy if she puts in $10-million of her own money," said Brian Ballard, a Republican fundraiser in Tallahassee.

"She might as well put it in the middle of the street and light a match," said Pat Roberts, a Republican lobbyist and longtime Harris friend....

9. I hate to say, but I'm feeling just a bit tinfoil here.
K.H. knows all the sordid details of election 2000.

K.H. was easily manipulated to provide assistance. She was then thrown the bone of a congressional seat.

K.H. is now wanting more. However, no amount of rigging will get K.H. into a Senatorial seat, even if the cabal was inclined to invest time and money into her election. Which they're not.

So, the cabal is returning to its bag of dirty political tricks. The psyche of K.H. will not be able to assimilate the utter discounting of her by those to whom she has utter loyalty (unless she's asked to take something less than she wants).

However, she did sell her soul in November 2000, at their behest.

So, the withdrawal of support, the public ridicule and, apparently, the planting of operatives in her campaign will cause an escalation of her emotional behavior. She will self-destruct.

As other posters have said, her credibility regarding election fraud 2000 will then be damaged, probably beyond repair.

I used to revel in her missteps and gaffes, however, now I just hope once she's thoroughly used and discarded by the cabal, she will regroup and talk, talk, talk. I don't even care if she gets immunity.

The cabal is dealing with more and more of these psy-ops gone awry. Michael Brown is still petulant and moping about his treatment by them. Look for other disgruntled, rich, whiny people who thought they were really that important, to start complaining.

Turning their back on those loyal knaves can have some unpredictable consequences. MKJ

51. I discount the tinfoil theory for a few simple reasons
The most important one is video. No one forced her to go on Faux and stand in twisted fashion to feature Moxie and Spunk in grand, if curious, profile. Her words, also caught on tape, weren't twisted or manipulated. All of that prancing around in tight clothes on horses, and snuggling up to cub reporters...that actually happened.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometimes a kook is just a kook. I think she is as whacky as a bedbug...!

If they really wanted to do a job on her, she would have met with one hell of a sad accident by now; maybe tossed by that horse, fell down a long flight of stairs because she forgot her shoes (she does that a lot), or some other KAT-tastrophe...

I'd like to hear her sing too...but only if the lyrics are "Election Theft 00."

18. No matter what, the remainder of her life is gonna redefine "miserable"
She either gets "suicided" after this laughing stock of a campaign is over, and I'm sure they won't spare the pain, or...

She will have to deal - every waking moment, for the rest of her life - with the fact that nobody gives a shit about her anymore. The realization that she was just one more tool of the BFEE and nothing more will haunt her until her dying breath.

As much as I want to feel some sympathy for her, I just can't. The sheer magnitude of the human misery and suffering she has brought upon the world will never let me.
