Firm sends cosmetics to poor women in North (Korea)

While most donors send food to help impoverished North Koreans, a South Korean cosmetics company, Able C&C, said it delivered $451,000 (£238,000) worth of cosmetics, including shampoo, lipstick and eyeshadow, to the communist North in June. The Seoul-based company said it was considering further donations of makeup.

…Famine in North Korea has killed about 2 million people, and foreign aid mostly comprises rice and fertiliser.

You know, this sounds so similar to the American companies which sent high heeled shoes, nice winter coats, and cans of food which were well past their expiration dates to the survivors of the tsunami.

This simply has to tell us "tax advantage," in the guise of charity.
