Graham bleak on world affairs

WASHINGTON — A somber Sen. Lindsey Graham acknowledged Tuesday that he “has never been so unnerved” about the state of the world and compared the threat from Iran to the rise of Adolf Hitler before World War II.

...

“I see the upcoming weeks and months as a pivotal time in the 21st century — and, really, in the course of world history,” Graham told reporters.

...

Graham, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, agreed with fellow Republican Sen. John McCain’s criticism Tuesday of the conduct of the Iraq war by President Bush.

“I think we undersold how hard the war would be,” Graham said.

Graham added that the U.S. mistakes in Iraq and its differences with allies must be set aside to stop Iran from building nuclear weapons and to protect Israel from Hezbollah.

1. No, we are not setting aside anything, you nutbar
Full apology, followed by mass resignations, and we can think about working in a bipartisan manner. As long as you assholes keep blundering on, we'll just let you blunder, and maybe trip you up now and then.

As long as these incompetent punks are running the country, we're not going to lift a finger to help.

2. As usual...
The day's Designated Republican Realist is wont to indulge in understatement.

Perhaps it's because telling something that vaguely approaches the truth is so unacustomed and painful to them? They are like newbies at an AA meeting.

8. Anybody remember this gang of "concerned" repugs right before
the elections in 2004? They tried (and I guess succeed) to present the picture of mild-mannered, reasonable Republicans who are so-o-o-o-o-o concerned about this country and this world. The minute the election is stolen they revert back to the wild-assed, dumbed down, wacko, extreme partisan hacks they have always been. Right now they are in covering their ass mode not to ever be trusted.

McCain, Lindsey, Hagel, the whole damn bunch is just in CYA time in America. Expect more to follow in the coming weeks.

I hate them all. When my kids were little and they would say, "I hate him." (or her, you get the gist) I would always correct them and say you don't hate anyone - you just hate their action right now. I must go back and apologize to my kids - I was wrong - I DO hate these asswipes and until they vote to impeach Chucklenuts and Dead Eye and indict the rest of the crime cabal, I will never, ever trust another Repug for the rest of my life.

3. the 'logic' (sic) jump there is absolutely astounding
remarkable, really.

Sure, the world is in a state of upheaval right now. But it's got very little to do with Iran, and VERY MUCH to do with the US.

14. No, he's not an idiot, but he IS an asshole
Of the impeachment managers in the House during the Clinton witch hunt, most have suffered the backlash of their ugly duplicity. Graham is the only one I can think of who not only survived but managed to advance himself. Then, he was a mere representative, while now he's a senator. McCullough of Florida was defeated, Barr was run out of town, Rogan of Glendale California was destroyed over this, Gekkas got his walking papers handed to him and the reason is simple: the American people felt that Clinton was being railroaded, which he was.

Since Graham comes from the reactionary state of South Carolina, he actually gained some popularity. This was the state that started the Civil War, lest we forget, and although there are many decent people there, it's a hotbed of primitiveness.

He's not stupid, though, and he was a Judge Advocate in the military, so he has at least a passing respect for the law.

In the main, though, he's a monarchic prick who wants to fuck the workers and the poor, sustain the rich, dominate the rest of the world, keep the darkies down, brook no dissent and do so without having the lapels of his suit even slightly rumpled. His typifies the ugly claim of aristocracy of the tidewater elite of the old, old south, and he's an extremely nasty and selfish organism. Nonetheless, he's pretty bright, and this should be acknowledged.

He's someone who needs to be "outed" as a thorough creep, and if it ever comes to the screen, he should be played by Dave Foley.

Unless it's about a sitting President and an intern doing a naughty act. Then any passing respect is quickly thrown out the window.

He's an ass.

Many of these psycho-right-wing-loonies are all depressed all of a sudden. I bet viagra and other ED drugs are becoming a common thing in their bedrooms.

Why did the Administration wait until September to make its case against Iraq? White House chief of staff Andrew Card told The New York Times last week, ``From a marketing point of view, you don't introduce new products in August.''

LIED about why we should be there at ALL! It's not that you didn't tell us how hard it might actually be when we got there and you didn't properly inform us of all the perils and challenges that come with modern warfare. No sir! You outright freaking lied and helped guide the entire country into a needless war. Live with it Graham, because I'm not going to let you slither out of it with your cute words and obfuscation about it.

his mouth most of the time. He said before the Senate had the Abu Garhib (sp) photos that they should be given to the public (i.e. citizens.) Boy, did he change his tune when the photos became available. I called his office to complain and the answer was that he never said absolutely all. He is recorded on C-Span if I were smart enough to find it. Also it was Lindsey who was one of the Senators who agreed with the Dems to not close arguments on justices. That lasted just as long as he got exactly what he wanted.
