British forces attacked in Missan, Basra

Basra, Aug 23,(VOI)- Four British soldiers were wounded in mortar shells attacks in Missan and Basra, a Multi-national forces in southern Iraq spokesman said on Wednesday.

“Four British soldiers were wounded last night in a mortar shells attack on the British base in Amara,” the spokesman told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI) over phone.

“The British forces situated in Basra central town of Tiwisah were also a target to a mortar shell attack last night ,but the attack resulted in no casualties,” the spokesman added.

Meanwhile, an explosive charge went off last night at a British vehicles patrol in central Basra but resulted in no casualties, the spokesman added.
