Biden faults Bush's hardline Iraq view
CEDAR RAPIDS - President Bush has staked out a hardline position on Iraq that is out of step with even his top military advisers and leaves the United States few options, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden said in Iowa Tuesday.

"With him digging himself in (Monday), he went even beyond what I'm confident his military advisers are saying, that under no circumstances are we going to leave," Biden said.

Biden's comments came as he opened his latest swing through Iowa in Cedar Rapids, where he campaigned for congressional candidate Dave Loebsack.

Biden said he had traveled to war torn Iraq this summer. During the trip, he said, he spoke with a string of key military leaders, a trip that has helped lead him to a different view of the conflict.

1. Bush's foreign policy is dead wrong even if Joe Biden wasn't a Democrat
or even if Joe Biden wasn't interested in becoming president.

Bush has a lot to be nervous about from Biden and the increasing number of other public figures who point out the failures of the administration in Iraq and Aghanistan.

I think there was a pretty good chance that Biden might have been tapped as Sec. of State in a Kerry-Edwards administration in 04. I'd like all that a lot better than Condi Rice.

3. Biden claimed that Iraq could use terrorists to attack the US
rather than dropping a bomb with their name on it. This was prior to the invasion. A war hawk on par with Cheney.
