NPR: Journalist Says Iraq Security Outlook is Bleak
Morning Edition, August 22, 2006 · One observer of the security situation in Iraq says that the U.S. response to Iraq's growing violence is failing to quell the trouble.

Steve Inskeep talks to Time Magazine's Bobby Ghosh in Baghdad about General Casey's view of the conflict in Iraq.

1. I heard ..
.. and interview with General Casey this morning on NPR. It was a pretty tough interview, at least from the standpoint that the interviewer pointed out that attacks have increased steadily almost from day one with no real reversals, despite all the promises and events.

Casey, well he shouldn't even be in the military, his non-answers were absurd and delusional. I expect that from politicians but there was a time when military men were realists and would tell you what they really thought.

This guy's just making shit up. It's pathetic.
