CNN: Opposition to Iraq War at all time high

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Opposition among Americans to the war in Iraq has reached a new high, with only about a third of respondents saying they favor it, according to a poll released Monday.

Just 35 percent of 1,033 adults polled say they favor the war in Iraq; 61 percent say they oppose it -- the highest opposition noted in any CNN poll since the conflict began more than three years ago.

A bare majority (51 percent) say they see Bush as a strong leader, but on most other attributes he gets negative marks. (Complete poll results -- PDF)

Most Americans (54 percent) don't consider him honest, most (54 percent) don't think he shares their values and most (58 percent) say he does not inspire confidence.

Approval ratings can flip and flop, because approval is a very subjective term that can mean as little as "if he was on fire, I WOULD cross the road to piss on him." The others are pretty specific and generally mean the person's mind is made up.

Makes me wonder how they phrased the question. "Strong" as in "good" or "strong" as in "stubborn/head like a rock"? If there was any "hazy phrasing", some folks opposed to him could have ended up saying they thought he was "resolute" and then it got translated into "strong".

I feel like I'm reaching, though. I'd prefer to say people are indecisive and stupid.

...is that our (ewwww)... THE Chimp-in-Chump is not only "not following the polls" (as he has readily done in the past, when he wants Congress to follow him blindly), and leaving it up to the next president (so the failure isn't smeared on him), but the fact is that most of America is seeing something he can't see even with strong eyeglasses: that Iraq is a complete and total failure.
