"Ruthless Drug Lord" Captured At Sea
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- One of the most wanted drug lords in the world was captured Wednesday aboard a 43-foot boat in the Pacific Ocean off Mexico, federal law enforcement officials said.

The DEA's Michael Braun said at a news conference that the man captured, Francisco Javier Arellano-Felix is "one of the most ruthless thugs that was involved in drug trafficking around the world."

1. To be replaced by the new most ruthless thug.
Oh - sorry, my mistake. This is a great victory in our Holy War on Some Drugs. Finally we have turned the corner and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We will stand down as soon as the drug lords stand up. It is a great day in America. Thank you and god bless.

2. Hear hear
I think it's interesting that this is the 2nd CNN headline today that resembles the prewar pulp adventure serials more than news.

15. How about just legalize it and cut the wind out of their sails
and their sales? You want to defeat the drug lords then end prohibition. It is that simple. Peace is here if you want it.

6. In the headline though?
Did they change it because now it says Mexican Cartel Leader?

11. Why indeed,
Poppy wasn't named Poppy for any other reason.

And with the free and open borders of Mexico & Texas, Drug Lords under
Bush are first class citizens.

9. I'd rather see drugs legalized so that new ones
wouldn't keep popping up to replace them, but okay.

14. I agree with you about legalizing drugs.....
it would certainly stop the ruthless thugs and their murdering ways. I also think it would open doors to drug rehabilitation for many.

13. Another one will take his place
Just means a top position in the cartel is now open. And this one will have even less of a conscience
and still show no mercy.

16. Yep. There will be a storm of murders
Just as happens whenever a cartel is decapitated. A lot of peewees vying for top dog.
