Would-be Clinton challenger links her to Osama bin Laden

NEW YORK -- A Republican candidate hoping to challenge Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton this fall is running a television advertisement linking Clinton to Osama bin Laden.

The ad, produced by the Senate campaign of former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer, accuses Clinton of opposing national security programs, including the USA Patriot Act and a secret National Security Agency wiretapping program, that may have helped thwart a planned terror attack aboard U.S.-bound flights from London last week.

The ad also suggests Clinton is "playing politics with national security."

Clinton adviser Howard Wolfson deemed the ad factually inaccurate and said, "Mr. Spencer's history of making wild-eyed angry falsehoods like these are among the many reasons why no one takes him or his campaign seriously."

In the ad, images of newspaper headlines fly across the screen, describing the terror plot targeting the airliners. A photo of Clinton is then paired with a photo of bin Laden.

1. Spencer must be using Saxby Chambliss' political ad agency.
:(
Saxby "Sack o Shit" Chambliss (R-GA) smeared Max Cleland (D-GA) by showing a pictue of Cleland with Hussein and Bin Laden in an infamous TV ad.

11. They accuse their opponent of exactly what they themselves are doing.
That should be EVERY democrats' point.. repeatedly stated, before they go on and add anything else to say to the public, the media...whomever.

It's their strategy and it's worked all along... if we don't spoon feed some people the obviousness of this tactic at this point, we are living in denial then, that this "won't fly" with the people anymore.

JMO.

8. Man she just can't win for losing.
The other side tries to link her to Osama Bin Laden & several on our side call her a war hawk.

I may not like all her policies, but I'll taker her over even a "moderate Republican" (even though I don't believe there are any of those left anymore).

10. whoever bought and broadcast that ad should be horsewhipped
can anything be more UNAMERICAN than calling a political opponent a terrrorist?

Once again, in the Revolutionary War, the followers of KING GEORGE were called Loyalists. Everybody else was a Patriot. Nowadays, if you don't follow and be loyal to KING GEORGE you are called a terrorist. By the Loyalists. Yeah, I guess anybodsy who doesn't lick George's toes is a big big problem for the Loyalists right now. But most of us are PATRIOTS who DON'T WANT A KING!!!!

They need him to much; if he didn't exist, they'd have to invent him.

14. Hillary (and other Dems) should release a "generic" ad
saying "Desperate times for Republicans call for them to use desperate measures ... which means linking everything a Dem says to terrorists ..."

20. This is how the Republicans win.
Not because they offer anything good to Americans except for their CEO friends, not because they're "keeping us safe" (what a flipping joke), not because their war on terror has been anything but effective, not because they have an ounce of integrity amongst all of them collectively,

but because they LIE LIE LIE and SCARE SCARE SCARE the voters into believing the Democrats are weak and the country's going to explode if we elect Dems.

Dispicable doesn't even describe it. These guys are like giant worms feeding off the good will and hard work of the citizens. Yet we keep electing these worms, so go figure.

I wonder how much longer the majority of voters will keep falling for it? Will this be the year that people finally start to realize what a joke the GOP has become?

I'd support her for President.

As it is, she's rather low on my list.

In what alternate universe has Spencer been living?

22. ...but "fascist" is spelled "facist."
Olbermann had this on last night. He showed the spelling error. If a campaign can't even spell check what else will the candidate overlook?

This is all in addition to the horrendous linking of Hillary to Osama.
