Group takes responsibility for blasts, US says it was natural gas
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - While the US military blames a natural gas explosion, an extremist group is claiming responsibility for the Baghdad explosions that killed at least 47 and wound 100 more.

In an Internet posting, the al-Sahaba Soldiers say they booby-trapped two cars and fired mortar shells. The Sunni group is also taking responsibility for a blast last month in another Shiite neighborhood.

Sunday night's explosion demolished several buildings. People continue sifting through the rubble for bodies. The prime minister's office put out a statement saying the damage was caused by bombs, rockets and mortars.

But after sending ordnance teams to the scene, US Major General William Caldwell insists the signs point to what he calls a "significant gas explosion" being responsible.

1. Those killed by shoddy infrastructure do NOT count in the overall
mortality toll generated by the Bush Death Cult. Its in the fine print....

3. I'm withholding judgment.
Remember the power outage in the NE in 2003?

At one point, the rumor was that some hydroelectric station over near Buffalo failed, with a loud bang heard. A couple of hours later a website in Britain had some Islamist AQ-affiliate-wannabe claiming responsibility, that it was a bomb that they had set that had brought the infidel US to its knees.

By the time the news of the posting was reported here, the explanation had moved south and west, into Pennsylvania and then into Ohio.

No shortage of idiots wanting to claim responsibility for murder and mayhem in order to give themselves street cred among ... their peers?

4. Point taken - but then again, consider the USA Admins record for truth
.
.
.

It may not have been "politically" advantageous to admit that the blackout was yet another "successful" terrorist attack

Not saying it was . .

But how much do y'all trust your government's information they give you?

How many have watched "OutFoxed" ?

I have,

and it is disturbing . . .

Fox News, the GOP's propaganda machine

Sadly,

It's working . .
