"There is nothing that we definitively have found to say that there are any Iranians operating within the country of Iraq," Major General William Caldwell, the top U.S. military spokesman in Iraq, told a news conference.
Or this one:
http://www.timesleader.com/mld/timesleader/news/1527098...BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military has evidence that Shiite extremists in Iraq are receiving arms and training from Iran, but it is not clear if the Iranian government is involved, a U.S. spokesman said Monday.
"We know that some Shiite elements have been in Iran receiving training," U.S. military spokesman Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell told reporters. "But the degree to which it is known and endorsed by the government of Iran is uncertain."
Looks like the Admin is talking out of both sides of its' mouth and no one is calling them on it. When it's time to stoke up support for attacking Iran it "The U.S. military has evidence that Shiite extremists in Iraq are receiving arms and training from Iran", when they want everyone to think everything is peachy in Iraq it's "There is no evidence the Iranian government is stirring trouble in
Iraq". Amazing propagandists!
