President says British terror threat may not be over

George W Bush cautioned on Saturday the threat from a plot to detonate liquid explosives on commercial flights may not have passed and denied Democratic charges he was trying to use the crisis for political gains in an election year.

‘We believe that this week`s arrests have significantly disrupted the threat,’ Bush said in his weekly radio address. ‘Yet we cannot be sure that the threat has been eliminated.’

...

Bush, who returns to Washington on Sunday after a 10-day working vacation at his ranch, urged air travellers to be patient with stricter security measures.

‘The inconveniences you will face are for your protection and they will give us time to adjust our screening procedures to meet the current threat,’ he said.

2. Why can't he protect us...he's fouled up everything he touches...
Why haven't the Republicans learned the lessons of 9/11? They can't seem to get a handle on this War of Terror. Osama is still on the loose and plotting to murder Americans. The Pakistanis are still directing and financing terrorists. Iraq is a seething hellhole. Afghanistan is being terrorized by the Taliban. They just don't get terror!

7. It will be over on Nov. 8, 2006.
At that time the administration will shift focus to domestic policies:

  • Tax cuts (for oil companies and other corporate giants)

  • Funneling our social security funds to wall street corporate investors

  • Creating elaborate health care reform ruses that permit insurers and providers to take even bigger percentages of premiums as profit.

  • Continue to shift tax burdens to state and municipal governments.

12. Today he uses the term "inconveniences" to described beefed up and
botched up airport screening. Next week "inconveniences" will be used for beefed up "counter-intelligence" (as they spy on American citizens). After that it will mean some sort of martial law, followed by internment camps, followed by military courts only and no rights to speedy trial. Bit by bit, piece by piece "inconveniences" will be used for loss of rights and freedoms. All in the name of "for your protection". Will the public allow it to happen? Sadly, with the complacent media most of America relies on, I think they will.

13. President says British terror threat may not be over...
And just how the hell would the idiot know this? He's too busy clearing brush on his vacation or flying around the country doing fundraisers to even know what is happening in the world. Even if he did know what is happening in the world, his pickled brain couldn't comprehend. What a loser!!!

As long as we keep occupying those M.E./Muslim lands, invading new ones, and encouraging Israel to massacre in Lebanon, Gaza, and annex W. Bank territories.

Frankly, we are a empire based on war, and as long as we cling to our imperial pride we have no right to expect anything different.

15. Another all time whopping lie from the yap of the chimp.
It will soon be admitted that the plot was the invention of some agent out to snare some would-be jhadis. They are keeping this up purely to save face after going into full frenzy and panic mode for nothing.
