Police free man arrested over plot

ONE of 24 people arrested in Britain over an alleged plot to blow up US airliners departing from British airports was released overnight "with no further action", police said.

The Metropolitan Police added that it has obtained warrants to keep another 22 suspects in detention until next Wednesday. A court hearing on the continued detention of a 23rd person is scheduled for Monday.

The identity of the freed individual was not disclosed.

"In all operations, some people may be released early without charge while others may remain in custody for further investigation," a police statement said.

After all, 2 months ago Scotland Yard shot an innocent man in Northgate, and a year ago they shot an innocent guy on a train, we need to ask tougher questions
