Breaking: CT Election Site down
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 07:55 PM by Kelvin Mace
Just announced on MSNBC (Keith Obermann)

Looking at the site, my guess is it has collapsed under the load.

Will there be a big surge, maybe just big enough, at the end to snatch it for Joe?

19. Here's a thread with good descriptions of CT's voting system...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x1851168

But I can't get the question answered, how do the mechanical machine's results--which seem very hard to fiddle--get to the electronic system that tabulates all, and feeds to the official site?

Interesting that the one electronic component of the system is the one that goes down.

Is it Mexico yet?

29. Liberman was down
by at least 5,000 votes an hour ago. By last count it is now down almost 9,000 votes. He should be conceding now and planning on turning petitions in tomorrow.

It's not an overwhelming victory but I like Lemont's message that it's time to hold some people accountable for this mess! It concerns me that it appears the undecideds went to Liberman. What does that say about those who might fall for the GOP security arguments???

Well, maybe all the undecideds were in certain precincts? Ned had a pretty good lead toward the start.

31. Percentage wise its close
but if you see my9:13 post of mine Lemont has stretched his lead from 5,000 to 9,000 votes even as his percentage lead has shrunk. Right now I think Liberman is toast. I don't see how he can make up this deficit with what's left.

38. Well I think I am
though I'm probably more liberal than moderate in some eyes.

I don't think I'm smart enough to have all the solutions to the mess this country is in but I do know I'm smart enough to figure out that this administration is full of people willing to continue to try fitting square pegs into round holes and Bush apologists who keep telling us this is the best we can do.

Will hope that we can change things in November but resigned to the possibility that we will still lose.

Update:

with 95% of precincts in Liberman down by +10,000 votes. Why hasn't anyone called this one? He's trailing by more votes now than my first post?

U.S. Senate - - Dem Primary
713 of 748 Precincts Reporting - 95.32%
Name Party Votes Pct
Lamont, Ned Dem 138,836 51.92
Lieberman, Joe (i) Dem 128,566 48.08
