Arab League to seek amendment of U.N. resolution
Arab League foreign ministers, meeting in Beirut, will send a delegation on Monday to try to push through proposed Lebanese amendments to a draft U.N. resolution seeking to end violence, a Lebanese official said.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa and the foreign ministers of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates would leave shortly for New York. Lebanon wants the resolution to call for a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from its territory.
