RICHMOND - Former radio talk-show host Jon Matthews, who pleaded guilty to exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl two years ago, was booked Friday into the Fort Bend County Jail on allegations that he violated terms of his probation.
Matthews, a fixture on Houston's radio scene for almost two decades, tested positive for alcohol, was terminated from a sex offenders counseling program and engaged in sexual fantasy activity over the Internet, court records said.
Matthews received a seven-year deferred adjudication sentence when he pleaded guilty to a charge of indecency with a child in 2004 and could now face up to 10 years in prison.
Court records show Matthews, 61, violated several probation conditions the court set in 2004 when he entered his plea on the charge that stemmed from an October 2003 incident in his Sugar Land home.
