Explosions kill 14 on Baghdad soccer fields

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Fourteen young Iraqis are dead after explosions hit two soccer fields in Baghdad today.

Eleven were killed by hidden, homemade bombs in the western part of the city. Police said the dead ranged in age from 15 to 25. Fourteen others were injured in the blast.

In a separate incident, police reported three people under the age of 15 were killed when a mortar shell hit a soccer field in a residential neighborhood.

Meanwhile, in a town south of Baghdad, Iraqi police report finding eleven bullet-riddled bodies. They say the bodies show signs of torture.

1. Dear god. This just gets worse and worse.
Kids playing soccer... damn.

This is what structural violence does to a society.

3. It's gone beyond insurrection.
It's gone beyond anarchy. It's even gone beyond what you find in the behaviors of the lower primates.

It's merely mindless savagery. We unleashed it. It's all ours. Pottery Barn in full effect.

8. "We unleashed it." - exactly - well, if you are referring to the BushGang
.
.
.

Saddam had a stronghold on the country - it appears it was needed

I am not condoning any of Saddam's brutality

But it appears the USA has unleashed a LOT more brutality than Saddam was capable of

and even their own soldiers (the USA's) are guilty of brutality - -

(sigh)

and the USA wonders why the world don't like them . .

5. "You have opened the gates of hell."
Some Arab politician said that early on. Quite prescient, wasn't he?

7. And bush** thinks 'history' will vindicate him. That in itself is enough
to prove that he's dangerously unstable.

Look what this man and his crazy killer cabal have done.
