Rockets hit Baghdad's Green Zone
BAGHDAD - Two rockets have struck the highly fortified Green Zone in Baghdad, the seat of the Iraqi government as well as the location of the US and British embassies.

According to a US military spokesman, one rocket struck the area near the Iran-Iraq war monument where former leader Saddam Hussein used to review his troops.

The other landed near some high rise apartments in the zone.

There were no initial reports of casualties or damage. The attack came the same day that the government announced the launch of a reconciliation commission charged with healing the sectarian and ethnic divisions that have brought the nation to the brink of civil war.

On Wednesday, two mortars slammed into the Green Zone, killing one person and wounding two.

Though heavily protected by US, Iraqi and other coalition troops, the zone periodically comes under attack.

7. Gee, with no media
reporting anything this week or even last week, I thought this was all over in Iraq.....Then again I look at Military Fatalities and it is 2562 and know it is not over.....Then I look at the civilian and Iraqi forces list and this is something that is going under-reported, and I do hope Senator Reid does comes to the floor next week in the Senate and brings this up again, but unless the Dems make sure the media will be covering any of this, then it will be just like all this past week of non reporting from iraq:
