Supreme Court Studies Measures to Improve Michigan Juries

LANSING (AP) -- Jurors' goal is to find the truth. But when they start deliberating, it may be only natural to feel at a disadvantage.

They can't talk about the case with each other for the length of the trial. If they take notes during trial, they sometimes can't bring them into the jury room. That could change now that the Michigan Supreme Court is weighing proposals aimed at giving jurors more information.
