Plane believed to be carrying American tourists crashes into Mount Kenya
NAIROBI, Kenya-- A South African-registered plane believed to have been carrying a dozen American tourists has crashed into Mount Kenya, apparently killing everyone on board, the senior game warden in the area said Sunday.

The three-engine plane ploughed into Point Lenana, the third-highest peak on Mount Kenya, an extinct volcano and Africa's highest mountain, at 6 p.m. Saturday as a cloudy sky was beginning to clear just before sunset, said Bongo Woodley of the Kenya Wildlife Service.

"I have flown over the site and seen the crash, and there do not appear to be any survivors," Woodley said by telephone from the Mount Kenya National Park headquarters in Naro Moru, 75 miles north of Nairobi.

2. I doubt it
Plane crashes don't happen to your team, only ours. I know one thing, some of my favorite people are over there right now and if anything happened to them I'm going to take out some frustration by physically kicking some freeper ass.

4. 14 Confirmed dead including 12 Americans
"At least 14 people, including 12 U.S. tourists, were killed when a light aircraft crashed into Africa's second-highest mountain, the snow-capped Mount Kenya, officials said on Sunday.

The plane was flying over the 17,000-foot (5,182-meter) mountain, 70
miles north of the Kenyan capital Nairobi when it crashed into one of its peaks on Saturday.

"All people are dead. It's a real mess. The plane exploded and it is scattered all over the area," Bongo Woodley, senior warden in the Mount Kenya region for the Kenya Wildlife Services told Reuters.

Peter Wakahia, chief inspector of accidents with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, told Reuters: "There were two South African pilots and 12 American passengers." "

7. 12 Americans = all members of one Atlanta family
George Brumley Jr., 68, and his wife, Jean Stanback Brumley, 67, were killed, along with members of the families of three of their five children:

George Brumley III, 42, his wife, Julia Preston Brumley, 42,

their son George William Brumley IV, 14, and daughter Jordan McNeill Brumley, 12. They lived in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Elizabeth Brumley Love, 41, her husband William Jenkins Love, 41, and their daughter Sarah Jennings Love, 12, of Atlanta and London. They lived in England, where Bill Love represented Atlanta-based Printpack, a packaging company with plants in the United States, Mexico and Britain. Their three younger children had stayed behind in Johannesburg because they were too young for the safari trip.

Lois Brumley Morrell, 39, her husband Richard Morrell, 43, and their son Alexander Brumley Morrell, 11, of Atlanta. They left their two young daughters at home in Atlanta. The Rev. Kim Richter, pastor of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Asheville, N.C., told The Asheville Citizen-Times that she accompanied Morrell's mother to Atlanta on Sunday to break the news to the girls.

The Brumleys' surviving children, twin daughters, live in Atlanta: Marie Brumley Foster and Nancy Brumley.

9. caught this on C-Span
during the show about Bob Dole's library. I only caught part of it, what I caught though was that some of the people on the plane where friends of Liddy's.

Don't quote me on this one do your own research I can't be 100% sure but am enough to put it out here if anyone wants to check into it.
