5. What does Hezbollah have that would be that accurate?
I've got to imagine that hitting a ship at sea with something like a Kassam or a Katyusha takes a great deal of precision. Or does this mean that they're using something more accurate now? Any military minds out there who can explain?

11. Depends upon how CLOSE they were, you know.
The Israelis often run close to shore.

When they opened fire on that beach full of sunbathers the other week,
the photos showed that they were only a few hundred
yards offshore, at most.

At that distance, you could point an unguided missile by eye
and have a good chance of hitting a target the size of a naval vessel.

30. Well, you can't sail into harm's way and not expect to get a stung
Yesterday I watched video on ABC news of an Israeli ship shelling Lebanon. It's gone to open war now, and who can blame anyone one side for shooting at the other. It's no longer about right and wrong. It's no longer about who "started it."

Now it's a matter of which side is going to get "rolled up." The odds are vastly in favor of Israel but that doesn't mean that Hezbollah isn't going to get in a number of punches before this round is over.

13. We are watching the barn-fire that will ignite the whole ME...
No need for October surprises anymore, moron* is working closely with Israel to broker a peace come October. By which time, Lebanon and Syria will be in ashes and several sights in Iran will be blown to pieces.

Then insteps jerkoff* to make peace for his bid for the *cough* *cough* nobel prize

Lots of suspects in this situation. Awfully escalated level of force for two kidnapped soldiers.

15. my thoughts on this ME crisis
israel is scared shitless that with the american people getting fed up in Iraq and wanting our troops to leave, they (israel)will be on their own. They are escalating this to keep our troops in the ME. Hence their victory over the Arabs. israel knows exactly how to play this "game".

17. Wow, Obvious man save me!!!
Nothing is ever as it appears. the abduction of two soldiers doesn't warrant the invasion of a nation. Something else is behind this. The story they are selling us is a cheap vanier....

20. Conspiracy can be fun
but at some point reality has to set in. This is not just because of two kidnapped soldiers, its also the soldiers that were killed during the attack (which was on israeli soil). Hezbollah is a member of lebanons goverment and its military arm is what started this entire conflict. If saudi arabia can figure it out, why cant half of the members on this website?

It happened shortly before the soldier was abducted. They are still being held by Israel. We still have not heard about that on our TVs.

didn't kill innocent people on a beach? Maybe that was the reason for the soldiers "kidnapping". or was that staged too?

33. I don't really agree with Israel
but I somewhat understand why they do what they do at times. Although I do feel that often times go about things in a less than ideal manner. Anyways, you're right about the chicken and the egg thing but I wonder what would happen if Israel stopped all attacks on any of the groups. Would the terrorists stop their attacks? Probably not. However, I am pretty sure that if groups like Hamas and Hezbollah stopped their attacks then Israel wouldn't dare bomb cities and neighborhoods like they're doing now. Ehnn, it would be wise for these people to adopt a Gandhi like stance towards Israel. Israel will be around for who knows how long and these wars will continue and the pals and others will continue to suffer if they do not change their strategy.

29. That was sort of along my line of thinking when hearing of them invading
Lebanon.

I thought, :wtf:, for two kidnapped soldiers?

Look at the big picture (PNAC/AIPAC links). Ledeen, Franklin, Israeli spies in the Pentagon and elsewhere. Tough talk directed at Iran/Syria but nothing anywhere near close to justify military action against either.

Now "Hezbollah" kidnapping two Israeli soldiers and Israel invading southern Lebanon? And "Iranian made" rockets and Iranians behind the kidnapping and soldiers to be moved to Iran?

IRAN IRAN IRAN IRAN

I ran so far away....

31. Did you see the CNN/International graphic -- said "Missiles were Iranian"?
I have CNN/International on, but I haven't seen anything else about that.

But since I DO NOT believe anything CNN or the current U.S. Government says anymore, I'd have to say I'm a little skeptical about the report.
