Bush: U.S. pressing search for bin Laden

U.S. President George Bush Friday said the United States is pressing its search for terror leader Osama bin Laden.

At a Chicago news conference, Bush called "incorrect" a report this week that the CIA had disbanded the unit set up to track the Saudi dissident.

"We've got a lot of assets looking for Osama bin Laden," Bush said.
"We're going to stay on the offense as long as I'm your president. (Letting up would make) the world more dangerous. ... We'll bring people to justice," the U.S. president said.

3. He never did look for OBL seriously after Tora Bora. And many would
say he could have done a lot more at Tora Bora.

10. The Tora Bora operation was a sad joke.
Probably the most asinine aspect of that sham operation was getting the Pakistanis to "guard the border" for us.

There should have been at least two U.S. divisions guarding that border, but the majority of US forces were held back by the Bush corporate cabal and preparing to invade Iraq.

4. This is called
a "caught your hand in the cookie jar" moment for Bush. And he's about as believable as a 5 year old with crumbs around his mouth.

7. He was stumbling alot with this answer. He looked like he was being fed
answers and trying to respond at the same time again. If we have any press, it should be easy to ascertain if the story was incorrect as the Prez maintains.

anything that wasn't designed to somehow help his position,I've never heard it.

20. I'm actually glad that I know he's lying about everything. Because
otherwise, what if the Lord told him to launch some nukes? How would be stop him? Someone would have to convince him that the Lord said to abort the launch.

12. Reuters Update: Bush: US pursuit of bin Laden undiminished
Edited on Fri Jul-07-06 02:49 PM by Up2Late
(But if they find him, how are they going to get $39.99 from each DVD of his "video messages" that the U.S. Government Contractors are selling!?!? They won't find him, he's long dead, see my DU Journal for more info or see link below)

Bush: US pursuit of bin Laden undiminished

Fri Jul 7, 2006 03:05 PM ET

By Tabassum Zakaria

CHICAGO (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Friday the U.S. hunt for Osama bin Laden was still on, denying the pursuit of the al Qaeda leader was less important after the CIA disbanded its bin Laden unit.

Following the September 11 attacks five years ago, Bush famously declared bin Laden was wanted "dead or alive," words he later came to regret after his wife Laura told him to tone it down.

The U.S. commitment to finding bin Laden was questioned after news the CIA had closed its unit overseeing the hunt for him and shifted those responsibilities elsewhere in the spy agency.

Bush dismissed that notion. "We got a lot of assets looking for Osama bin Laden," he said at a news conference at the Museum of Science and Industry.

"It's a matter of time, unless we stop looking. And we're not going to stop looking so long as I'm the president -- not only for Osama bin Laden, but anybody else who plots and plans attacks against the United States of America," Bush said.

14. First things first. This guy ain't my pResident. Never was.
Second, he has got to have set the record for bare faced blatant lies. Probably set it during his first term sometime.

This guy exhibits traits of several serious mental illnesses everytime he opens his mouth. Compulsive serial lying, total detatchment from reality, sociopathology, retardation (or some kind of learning disability. A serious one.) and these are just the obvious ones a layman can spot.

Sigmund Freud back from the dead couldn't make a dent in this clown's psyche.

15. I second what acmavm said --
and add: If 90% of the US population can't see that bush is lying almost every time he speaks (except when he mis-speaks and tells the truth by mistake) -- then there is something seriously wrong with the vast majority of people in the US.

17. Bush can't risk capturing bin Laden alive. It's either dead or no
capture. (sort of like Ken Lay) The CIA has closed down it's bin Laden search. So,if Bush is picking up the pace, who is doing the searching?

His Majesty (bush) said that he didn't know where Bin Laden was and that he didn't think about him that much.....that's been a couple of years, why lie about it now.
