AP formally accuses Bush of ignoring laws

RAW STORY
Published: Tuesday June 27, 2006

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/AP_formally_accuses_Bush_of_ignoring_0627.html

In a strongly worded headline that has appeared across a panoply of news websites, the Associated Press has formally accused President Bush of ignoring laws he signs.

The AP headline at ABC News? "Bush Ignores Laws He Inks, Vexing Congress." At AOL? "Bush Ignores Laws He Signs, Vexing Congress." And Yahoo? "Bush ignores laws he inks, vexing Congress."

Republican Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) is hounding the Administration on what he believes is an excessive interpretation of presidential powers. Excerpts follow; full story here.

1. Arlen hounded....not, I wouldn't say that...he mentioned FISA at hearing,
but with respect to which branch DETERMINES constitutionality of laws that are passed, Arlen was pretty silent.

Hounded -- no, Pubbies don't hound this President.

2. This is not news, typical RS hyping
This is not news, this is RS trumpeting to the world the fact that they can read the news (great scoop, RS, you read the AP wire). It just doesn't belong here. The headline is misleading and kinda meaningless, too. "Formally"? Was the AP wearing a tux?
