Limbaugh Detained At Airport

(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.

Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.

Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.

Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.

According to post-Mott The Hoople Ian Hunter. At least, Rush is SUPPOSED to be twice shy.

Wasn't he just complaining about a Dem Congressman skating on a DUI charge?

49. Since he was
returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic with the drugs, perhaps it was easier for him to get them there. He might be paranoid dealers here would rat him out.

Kind of sad they noted the Viagra. He could have gotten that legally. If it was most other people I'd feel bad for him.

387. That would seem illegal on its face
Can a doctor prescribe narcotics to HIMSELF? Even if he can, can he then give them to someone else< outside of pharmaceutical controls? The law as I read it says that narcotics have to be 1) prescribed by a licensed doctor 2) prescribed for a specific patient and 3) kept in the same container they were dispensed in which shows both #1 & #2.

I hope they bust his doctor also.

that Mr. Limbaugh has access to an unlimited supply of any prescription drug that he so chooses; and as long as he is in Jeb Bush's Florida, he will get away with it.

That's a pretty good trade off to be the chief propagandist for the * crime syndicate, I think.

232. jail time possibly - but not necessarily
I believe I heard he got Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal (ACOD) on his original charges. Basically, if he doesn't "stay out of trouble" he will have to face the original charges. Typically, the "stay out of trouble" will include any arrests and I doubt it has to specifically be pain-killers.

He is still not automatically guilty of the original charges. He can still put on a defence or whatever.

No matter what, this can't be good for the bum. I'm sure the corporate media will be all over it - a full two-second clip between their mindless drivel.

I don't do character assasination or beat people when they are down. He has his problems and I hope he fixes them.

I will however say he's a psychotic with a horrible temper who, along with O'Reilly, Boortz, Hannity, Coulter, and the other people who have testosterone as the only hormone in their bodies, should quit their jobs immediately.

Attacking any of these thugs, for anything that's factual, is not only appropriate, it's necessary.

I hope he gets help - the same help he has already gotten. But not preferential treatment. He's been to rehab, he got a second chance under the law, and now he's blown it within a couple of months.

You or I wouldn't have gotten that kind of a deal without actually being indicted, and he deserves to be imprisoned if he did it again.

Once the laws are changed so that regular Americans aren't imprisoned for what he has done, then I will withhold commenting on his breaking of the law.

Before defending her right to say whatever she wants, he said:

If she were lying in the street, clutching her chest, and said to me, "Take my cell phone. I dialed 9-1-1...please press 'Send,'" I'd take the phone and throw it as far as I could.

www.lionelonline.com has links to podcasts. My favorite radio show apart from the ones on Air America.

149. Let's also remember one big reason why Al Franken hates his fat ass...
...when Jerry Garcia died in rehab, Limbaugh said (essentially) that he was a drug addict who got what he had coming to him.

Al, as we all know, is a consummate Deadhead.

But beyond that, Garcia was gifted, and he was sad. On one hand you had a visionary artist and on the other you had a kid in a candy store who didn't know when to stop. And when he did decide to stop, it was too late...the damage had been done. Limbaugh chose to piss on the corpse of a man who only wanted to be well again.

I hope that visions of Jerry Garcia haunt Rush Limbaugh, and that he meets his maker while sitting on the toilet and straining at a stool, just like that other legendary, visionary, tragically addict rock star.

77. I think it could fall under Probation
violation instead of Parole. Parole is issues to those who have served prison time and are conditionally released by the Parole Board....for example, one can be eligible for parole after serving an ordered minimum sentence period within closed parameters as issued by the Judge.... ie....5-10 years....eligible for parole in 5 years....

Limbaugh SHOULD of gone to prison but was given a "sweet deal"....which now he has violated.....:woohoo:

I'm given to wonder if he was importing these, trying to get around the sensible limits/punishments imposed upon him here. People do it (elsewhere) with Cuban cigars and such, right?
What a damned hypocrite. I'm glad he's getting caught flaunting the laws...it shows what a liar and false person he is. Morally, he's always been living way beyond his means...time now to walk the walk.

No records here. BTW Viagra is over the counter in Mexico. I would imagine it is the same in DR. I think the news article may not be truthful.

"As part of this agreement, Mr. Limbaugh also has agreed to make a $30,000 payment to the State of Florida to defray the public cost of the investigation. The agreement also provides that he must refrain from violating the law during this 18 months, must pay $30 per month for the cost of "supervision" and comply with other similar provisions of the agreement.

More terms of the deal:

The formal agreement between Mr. Limbaugh and the State Attorney will be filed with the Court on Monday. The terms of the agreement are substantively as follows:

* Mr. Limbaugh will continue in treatment with the doctor he has seen for
the past two and one half years.

* After Mr. Limbaugh completes an additional 18 months of treatment, the
State Attorney has agreed to drop the charge.
* Mr. Limbaugh has agreed to make a $30,000 payment to the State of
Florida to defray the public cost of the investigation.

Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 09:02 PM by FredScuttle
I love the sound of schadenfreude in the evening:

So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last

Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again

Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on
From now on ...

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So, Let's sing a song of cheer again

Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!

Rush Limbaugh's Attorney Roy Black Responds to Media Inquiries
Mon June 26 2006 21:21:11 ET

Miami, FL -- June 26, 2006 -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:

While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

He's an internist, and he thinks the doctor will drag Rush down with him (as he's sure to at least be censured).

The whole privacy argument is crap--HIPPA protects all that (except from Pharma, as they get prescribing records to do marketing studies). If he didn't want a soul to know his info, they wouldn't.

206. OMG!!! HILARIOUS!!!
continuing to quote Wolcott's 2005 piece:

Yet, like so many products and pleasures, blowjobs aren't evenly distributed in society. It's a renewable natural resource not everyone gets to enjoy, and I was struck by the vehement tone of Limbaugh's tirade. He sounded bitter. I've seen this rancor inflict so many middle-aged men. Reading about all the oral sex young people are presumably having, they feel envious and resentful. No classmates were treating them to afterschool blowjobs in high school! Nor were hot teachers like that one in Florida seducing them in parked cars. It doesn't seem fair. It doesn't seem just. We're living in the Golden Age of BJs, and men in Rush's recumbent position feel barred from Eden, forced to imagine the action from their recliners as they stare sullenly at their plasma screens. It's probably how many adults felt during the free-love Sixties as the lid came off the nation's libido.

Clearly no small part of the undying enmity conservatives like Rush (and many liberal men too) have for Bill Clinton was that he was their age (maybe even older) and yet was able to participate in the exciting blowjob youth movement courtesy of Monica Lewinsky's bright red mouth. How this made them seethe, and the fact they still mention it at the slightest farfetched opportunity shows that they seethe still.

was written up, it sounds as though there were other pills in the bottle BESIDES Viagra. And THAT's where the problem will really come in for him. What pills were they???? What were they for?

If his doctor's name is on the bottle, someone needs to ask the Dr. if something other than Viagra was prescribed, and the script for that drug ALSO done in the Doc's name to avoid the shame of being limp balled.

...and while he was down in Dominica, he either caught the clap, and bought antibiotics, or he got himself a little oxy or some other fun drug, just to take the edge off on the ride home. And he stuck those pills in his V bottle!

And then, he was so high, he forgot about 'em, or figured they wouldn't bother him, because he has a private jet, and he's so important, ya see!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Rush Limbaugh was detained for about three-and-a-half hours Monday at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.

The 55-year-old radio commentator's luggage was examined by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after his private plane landed at the airport around 2 p.m. from the Dominican Republic, said Paul Miller, spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

... Sheriff's investigators confiscated the drugs, and Limbaugh was released around 5:30 p.m. without being charged.

However, the sheriff's office plans to file a report with the state attorney's office.

"We believe there may be a second degree misdemeanor violation, which is possession of certain drugs without a prescription, because the bottle does not have his name on it," Miller said.

"While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey."

He was out on Pretrial Detention. In other words he agreed that he was guilty of the charges but as long as he took his pee test and stayed out of trouble the charges would go away.

Now this changes everything. He will/SHOULD be tried on the original charge of doctor shopping AND the possession of illegal drugs.

Both felonies and both carry hefty jail time.

I'm hoping there isn't some wiggle room or "samples" exclusion. It sounds like there isn't. I just can't believe his doctor is THAT stupid to write an illegal scrip considering the heat surrounding pig-boy. Wouldn't it be easier for the doctor to hand out a free sample that the viagra commercials advertise?? Or do viagra free samples have to be written as a prescription??

Limbaugh Detained at Palm Beach Airport
Monday, June 26, 2006
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Rush Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.

Customs officials found a prescription bottle labeled as Viagra in his luggage that didn't have Limbaugh's name on it, but that of two doctors, said Paul Miller, spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

A doctor had prescribed the drug, but it was"labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes,"Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement.

I want to let you read along with me a quote from Jerry Colangelo about substance abuse, and I think you'll find that he's very much right…"I know every expert in the world will disagree with me, but I don't buy into the disease part of it. The first time you reach for a substance you are making a choice. Every time you go back, you are making a personal choice. I feel very strongly about that."

247. I'm reminded of something Bill Hicks said...
"Speaking of Satan... I was watching Rush Limbaugh the other day. Doesn't Rush Limbaugh remind you of one of those gay guys who likes to lay in a tub while other men pee on him? Doesn't he? Am I the only one?

"Can't you see his fat body in a tub while Reagan, Quayle and Bush just pssssh just stand around pissing on him, and his little piggly wiggly dick can't get hard... 'Aah, aah, I can't get hard, Reagan, pee in my mouth!' 'Well, how's that, Rush?'

"Still can't get hard, so they call in Barbara Bush, she takes her pearls off, puts them up his ass, then squats over him, undoes her girdle, her wrinkled, flaccid labia unfolds halfway down to her knees, like some ball-less scrotum.

"'Ungh, ungh.' She squeezes out a Lincoln to his mouth, finally his dick gets half hard: 'Oooough!' A little clear bubble forms on the end, with a maggot inside. The maggot pops the bubble and runs off and joins a pro-life group somewhere.

"Am I the only one who sees that, or no? Thank god I'm not alone. Thank god I had the insight to notice that Rush Limbaugh is a scatmuncher! He munches scat!"

248. And most of you ...
Are acting like post-modern-jews ready to pass judgement on the anti-jesus as if that is really a good thing. Yes, I agree with you, it would be nice to see this character get the justice he deserves.

What I am noting is the release and orgasmic relief that is coming in here. You are all primed and pumpes and ready to be moved. Rush is just a player in a bigger game and, potentially an easily sacrificed show just waiting to happen.

However, you are prone to "getting off" and that is both impulsive and very predictable. Hmmm ... should we get beyond this YET? Or do we just play along, build up, release ... and tack on some sort of result like rightous idignation in the service of some vague good without a bad?

I am not putting down this group celebration, but questioning the nature and intent beyond it and behind it.

If we could crucify Rush for his sins, would we? ;)

Glad you are all enjoying this news as much as I, but don't forget to see the much, much bigger picture that the sheeples tend to miss and ignore as the show goes on.

260. A rather bad analogy
because the whole jesus/barabbas episode hinged on a choice between two convicts, whereas here no choice is being offered, not to mention the antisemitism that has resulted from the episode, which may be either apocryphal or the result of a mistranslation in any event.

A far better comparison could be made to the way right wingers pilloried Bill Clinton for his sexual indiscretions. Does it speak well of us that we are behaving similarly? Not really, but most of us are frustrated with the double standards imposed on Democratic versus Republican public figures.

In any event, Limbaugh has invited all this rancor with the self-righteous cult of personality he has cultivated among his following over the years. I'd probably feel a little different if it were someone else, say one of the Bush daughters, but Limbaugh is a big boy who gives as good as he gets, and wholly deserves any and all derision aimed at him, particularly since he has blown the free pass he would surely have denied anyone else, given the chance.

Limbaugh is not easily sacrificed. There's no one to replace him. In this big picture, this is yet another chicken that has come home to roost, another veil that has been lifted, another sign that the emperor really is naked. If there is malice and vitriol in our celebration of limbaugh's comeuppance, it is because it is long overdue, and we remember well the ill-will Limbaugh himself feels for us, which he expresses every chance he gets. The coarsening of the political discourse in America is Limbaugh's real sin, and yes, I'd drive the nails in myself if given the chance, because open, reasoned debate is the lifeblood of democracy, and Limbaugh has done much to stifle real debate, working assiduously to brainwash his followers in the most cynical way imaginable.

270. Granted ...
But the repressed and infuriated crowd rushes in for blood sacrifices not based on the real person or issues, but because the powers that be might find a sacrifice or martyr for its own, greater purpose.

Like it or not, we are all One. The Universe is One. We are all part of this passion play and very few of us like the idea of seeing it that way because we are very much stimulated, cajoled, and trapped into our own personal games that require what is happening as a result, as supposed to seeking and finding a comprehensive and intrinsic solution to it.

It is a game, in the end, isn't it? Doesn't that require sides, squares of different colors, etc? My dislike for Rush and his views is my part of that game. He is STILL a human being who has found his place to play and has done well in his strategy. I do not envy that, but I don 't want to end up being trapped by the morals and standards that people who fall, at will, into the seriousness of the show and fail to see that we are all players, regardless of the spoils. Who wins and loses is a moot issue in relation to the fact that, as much as we fight the fact, we are ALL IT!

Without that qualification, in short, I see nothing more than players who not only don't see the game with its overall process and implications, but who play it deadly seriously with a self-imposed righteousness that illustrates that both sides are merely ignorant poles of the very same phenomena, differentiated only by formalities and obvious dichotomies.

We are all in this together. We are all this together. Does that ever get to what is behind the facades?

281. the achievement of Rush Limbaugh
He is STILL a human being who has found his place to play and has done well in his strategy.

I really have to question your values. Your statement would have one believe that perversion of the language and logic for purposes of personal enrichment is finding his place in the world. Hardly. This man has exploited the disenchanted and disenfranchised and while doing so, he has turned them into a cult that serves the premiere exploiters of our time, the republican party. That's a calling?

Next, what do you mean by "has done well with his strategy?" Do you mean financial enrichment? Or do you mean he has been successful in rousing the marginalized to the cause of the republican party? Neither of these could be considered a worthwhile life achievement.

262. Oxycontin causes impotence
Although it may well be the case that Limbaugh is impotent for other reasons (I suspect he may have hypertension), opiate analgesics such as Oxycontin are a cause of drug-induced impotence.

Thus, his need for viagra may offer a clue to what some of the other drugs found were--it is possible that the Viagra was identified because of its distinctive shape and color, or because unprescribed possession of it is not as serious a crime as possession of OxyContin. As a schedule II narcotic, it may be that they sent it to the lab for testing and simply don't have the results back yet.

Just a guess.

... that doesn't mean the drug contained is actually Viagra. Viagra is easily available stateside from any number of sources, some "discreet". If fear of someone finding out he was getting Viagra was the issue, flying to another country and getting a bottle under someone else's name sure seems like a lot of trouble to go to.

What if the bottle was "labelled as" Viagra but actually contained something else. With the bogus name used as another layer of protection. That is the conclusion I would reach in this situation.

298. Notice how the headlines have dropped "other drugs"! the coverup has begun
When the story first broke, it was about other drugs AND Viagra. Now the headlines are just about the Viagra, and the lawyer/spin doctor has quickly gotten a story out there to play on the public's sympathy for viagra users and privacy issues....nothing to see here, move along.....My guess is something happened behind the scenes (jebby called) and all the other drugs found in limpballs possession have been flushed out of existence and off of the record.

In spite of violating parole by new doctor shopping and prescription tampering, leaving the country to outsource his sex life, AND most likely having other illegal drugs in his possession....I'd bet a million bucks that he walks away untouched. The republicans are so corrupted and morally bankrupt that they will allow this sick man to be their spokesperson forever. world and somehow convince yourself that things are fine and your man Bush is doing a heckuva job. So it's easy to say, as they are on their blogs, that Rush isn't a backsliding drug felon. Nope, he's the victim of nothing more than an "improperly prescribed" medication. Completely removes him from the equation because surely there's some other entity responsible for this. It's like shooting somebody and then claiming you didn't, that they were victims of an "improperly delivered" bullet.

WTF are they searching people for? To prevent terrorism, or to make arrests for misdemeanors? Farg..Viagra isn't even narcotic.

343. true, but
this worthless fuck is the LAST person i want as an example of how wrong the US drug laws are.

it doesn't matter that Viagra isn't narcotic, you're falling for his lawyer's spin. the bottom line is he was in posession of prescription drugs that were in someone elses name. to compound it, he violated his plea agreement. any poor person KNOWS DAMN WELL that when you are on probation or any kind of plea, you DO NOT fuck it up! a sympathetic police officer may look the other way if he finds drugs on a first time offender, but if you're being watched by the state, he will not let it slide. the thing is, the stupid fucker COULD have avoided this snafu if he had only followed the law and got his prescription in his own name, nobody but his doctor and pharmacist would know he has a tiny limp dick, but no, he had to hide it, and now the whole fucking world knows. beautiful irony.

as far as the drug laws on the books, as long as they are what they are, i don't have much of a problem with authorities checking people entering the US from foreign countries for drugs, as they have been for many more years than the bullshit war on terrorism, but i DO have a problem with that level of scrutiny on people travelling within the US.

What Rush does is destroying our country and even though it is legally protected speech there is such a thing a morality. Rush supports an immoral illegal administration with lying propaganda and that is nothing I want to protect.

353. I don't know why they chose to search him.
It could've random been or someone tipped them off. They also haven't disclosed what other drugs they found - unless it was a typo with the news to begin with.

I don't see this as a police state mentality issue. Anyway you cut it, it is illegal to use or possess prescription drugs that are not in your name...which he got caught doing. I also personally don't see it as a petty issue. In addition, he may have also violated his plea agreement with his earlier case - another offense. No sympathy here. Aside from his hypocrisy in general, limbaugh got away with fraud to conceal infor. on his other prescription charge and walked away with from it. Had that been any "ordinary" person, they wouldn't have gotten off so easily. Apparently he thinks he's above the law and the law has allowed him ot think that way.

I feel he is getting just what he deserves, only not everything he deserves because once again, he'll probably get a pat on the wrist. Even if they report later on that they found more serious drugs on him...he'll still get out of it.

And I certainly won't argue for his defense. But I also won't argue in defense of the government's ability to search and arrest people for crap like this. It's ridiculous. He's not smuggling. He's not dealing. He's technically breaking the law, and his terms of probation, etc. But Jesus Christ, we've got nothing better to do than prosecute people with an illicit bottle of boner pills?

That's taking things way too far imho.

Of course, he wasn't down there to do any shopping of the duty free variety, but how would one know that until his bags got tossed?

374. That makes sense.
I get what you're saying and it makes (a kind of) sense. I still don't like it. It's a bottle of Viagra. Sure, technically, it's against the law. But it's petty stuff. It's not a narcotic, it's not a large amount, it's not being smuggled for resale, etc. It's just a dude with a bottle of viagra pills. Why is that worth arrest?

If they found a box of cuban cigars, and arrested him on the same grounds, I'd be just as indignant.

And no, of course I'm not saying rich people shouldn't be searched.

I'm just unhappy with the application of the law here. It's nitpicking and petty...follows the letter of the law but hardly the spirit.

Around here, the fact that it's Limbaugh means that the stupid application of the law is a cause for celebration. But if it were someone we like who got treated this way, more people would be complaining like me that the story is just lousy.

It's a customs search. It's a drag and invasive and yadda, yadda, yadda, but thousands of people do it every day. Better than 90% of them have the common sense (or are sober enough) to realize that it's probably not a good idea to stash illegal drugs in their bag when entering the U.S.

Does it enter into your thinking that this is a violation of whatever sweetheart agreement Rush struck with the prosecutors? Hey, it's not us celebrating over here that got Rush in trouble and busted his fat ass back to the Big House (hopefully)....it was his choice to attempt to enter the country with illegal prescription pills and he got busted. Life is sweet and I shed not one tear for his dumb ass.

388. I came into the USA from JAMAICA in the mid-70s
Now, many here don't remember that far back, but there was a period of time when SUGAR prices went through the fucking ROOF, like gas prices are now (funny, ain't it, how that high fructose corn syrup shit started taking off around that time, too....but I digress).

I was younger then, making lousy money, and had some aunties and a grandma who loved to bake, and of course, I liked to eat the stuff they made. They were on fixed incomes and bemoaned the price of sugar, which had SKYROCKETED during that time--it was like GASOLINE is doing today. So, since I wasn't rich as Roosevelt at the time, I figured a great, cheap souvenir to bring them from my travels was a shitload of sugar. Why? Because it was something like six cents a kilo there; and packaged very plainly in sealed, flat, clear plastic pouches. So, I bought something like thirty or forty POUNDS of the stuff, and stuck it in my softsided suitcase, which had nothing in it save shorts, t-shirts, bathing suit, flip flops and the usual toothbrush/toothpaste crap.

Guess what happened next?

I go to Customs, have nothing to declare (the cost of the sugar wasn't even close to the max I could have brought in), but I still have to go through the line and deal with the formalities, as we all do. They popped my bag, for whatever reason (profile/random, who knows?) and went APESHIT. I explained to them that it was SUGAR, and of course they didn't believe me. I said "Taste it, asshole! Open every single pouch and taste it, but you'd better tape them back shut, or my grandma will have your ass!"

They sliced into a few, tasted (after I went first), taped them back up as I asked, visually inspected the rest carefully (the sugar down there is much nicer and a bit cruder than the sugar in the US, but if you look, you can SEE what it is--it has a nice sparkle to it) and then, they LAUGHED LIKE HELL. They said I gave them a story for the ages.

I actually thought it was pretty funny, myself...I mean, really, I'd either have to be an idiot or an idiot with brass ones to try to saunter through customs with forty pounds of something illegal that was white and granular in my checked baggage!

Once again, no story here, people. Please keep moving. If we as a group have any interest in being taken seriously as a political movement, we might want to think twice about the things on which we so strongly editorialize. I'm no fan of Limbaugh. And I have a problem with the narcotics issue of late. This one, however, is one of those issues that should just pass on by. So the guy can't get it up and he has to use a pill to get wood, and his name does not appear on the bottle. I think we should let this one go and try to keep our eye on the ball: elections and Iraq, imho.

There is a story here. A man has broken the law repeatedly. He got a sweetheart deal instead of jail (as the rest of us would get) in exchange for keeping his nose clean and not breaking the law for 18 months. He hasn't kept his side of the deal. He needs to go to jail and pay his debt for breaking laws. This is exactly what RUSH editorializes about others; why is HE special?! He is as bound as the rest of us to obey the law.

There is plenty to see here people and propaganda telling us otherwise is just that. I don't know your motivation for trying to sweep this away, but welcome to DU anyway.

382. Don't lock him up... string 'im up!
"Kurt Cobain was, ladies and gentleman, was a worthless shred of human debris." ~ Rush Limpballs

Man if that ain't the pot callin' the kettle black! And damn if "Rush Limpballs" isn't an apt moniker.
This turd should have been flushed a long time ago! He and people like him are the most "worthless shreds of human debris" to ever walk the earth. He deserves no ones compassion - and I'm a Buddhist! But hey, maybe karma is finally catching up to that piece of shit!

390. When pigs fly...
...all alone...with an illicitly obtained bottle of Viagra clutched in their sweaty, doughy mitts...to the Dominican Republic which is sadly one of several popular destinations for sexual predators what's a fella to think? That Pigboy went there for a tan?

Where is child sex tourism most prevalent?

Economically marginalized children are at highest risk of being lured into the sex trade and developing countries have increasing sex tourism problems. Countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil and the Dominican Republic are popular destinations for sexual predators because of the volume of sex tourism venues in operation and the large pool of potential victims who can be easily lured or forced into the sex trade. Additionally, in some countries, local law enforcement tends to be inadequately funded and/or corrupt.

Not that I'd want to start any unstoppable rumors or Google-bombs, or anything...

"I just don't understand how a grown man with that much money is getting into trouble. "

That just pisses me off... I mean, we all know it's true that money buys a different kind of justice, but the blind acceptance that it's the way things should be just makes me see red...
