Bolivia to sue ex-Enron execs for fraud
Bolivia to sue ex-Enron execs for fraud
26 June 2006

LA PAZ: Bolivia's government said at the weekend it would sue former executives of US energy company Enron as well as former government officials for fraud in relation to the Brazil natural gas pipeline project that was completed in the 1990s.

Among the approximately 40 people to be included in the charges are former President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada and several US citizens, Energy Minister Andres Soliz told a news conference in La Paz.

"The country has suffered one of the biggest frauds in its history," he said.

Soliz said the state would seek to recover profits made by Enron and its subsidiaries in Bolivia, accusing the bankrupt company of having paid bribes and illegally receiving profit from the natural gas pipeline.

3. Enron strikes again! Bush's buds, his biggest donor....
Destroyed their stockholders, workers and pensioners...

Destroyed California's $10 billion budget surplus...

Brought us Schwarzenegger and Diebold touchscreen voting...

And giggled gleefully over the old "Aunt Tilly"'s they were fleecing, just like the vicious goofball they supported...

Now we find the Bush junta ethic of lying and deceit, and the fun of massive stealing from the poor, in Bolivia, too.

Ah, me.

Well, good luck to the Bolivians! And kudos to them for taking on Enron! I hope they can get their money back. We haven't had much luck in California. Guess why?
