http://www.wyomingnews.com/news/more.asp?StoryID=107899CHEYENNE - The state Republican Party has issued a wide-ranging public records request of state agencies, including the office of Gov. Dave Freudenthal, seeking information that might link the governor's office to the law firms of his wife or his brother.
Four letters, detailing the information sought, were sent out June 9 and signed by state Republican Party Chairman Drake Hill.
This year, Freudenthal, a Democrat, is running for re-election. He faces a primary against Torrington resident Al Hamburg. A Republican primary between Wheatland attorney Ray Hunkins and Sheridan resident John Self will determine who faces the winner of the Democratic primary in November.
... One political observer said this may signal a change in politics as usual in Wyoming.
David Marcum, a political science instructor at Laramie County Community College, said some people may find the change troubling.
