Bush to Tehran: accept "reasonable" nuclear offer

KINGS POINT, N.Y. President Bush is urging Iran to accept what he calls a "reasonable" offer for talks on its nuclear program.

But he's also warning America won't waver in demanding that Tehran suspend uranium enrichment first.

The president spoke on the eve of a trip to Europe -- where Iran will be a key topic.

Addressing graduates at the U-S Merchant Marine Academy in New York, Bush said nuclear arms in the hands of the Iranian regime would be "a grave threat to people everywhere."

3. Bush is trying to get them to reufuse because of nationalistic pride.

He wants to look like he is making an effort, in in reality the "deal" in being made to sound condecending, making them refuse to maintain thier pride even if it was a good deal.

5. when bush says "deadline, or else"
They power up more centerfuges.

If certain powers have had them since the 50's, who's to say who has what, right now? Almost 60 years is plenty of progression/R&D. If anybody has noticed (which you bunch are very in tune with this) N. Korea and Iran only publically beefed up their nuke programs after being called *gasp* Evil... hmmm!

Tip of the icerberg perhaps.

6. madeline albright just publicly pointed this out too
which was nice to see. basically, bush is a bully and bullies don't attack someone who is an actual threat. but nor do bullies listen to even the friendliest of advice, or accept even the most gentle of criticism except to do the opposite.

8. Right Bush is a lifelong bully.
Bush does enable Iran and North Korea with his rhetoric. Bush needs an axis of evil to exist and Bush obliges Iran and North Korea with a target to stir the masses.

The Neo Con agenda is a twisted Hegelian nightmare. At heart the forces that turned Bush loose are anarchist.
