For more than a year, Ohio's Republican Party and its govenor have been swept up in scandal threaten to end the GOPs dominance in state politics. State and federal investigation into free golf outings, campaingn donations and the state's unusual investment in rare coins. On Wednesday, coin dealer Tom Noe pealded guilty to federal charges that he illegally funneled about 45,000 to Bush Election campaign. He admitted that he arranged a contribution scheme to generate $50,000 for a Bush Fundraiser. Noe 51 reamined free on bond and a date for sentencing was not set. Prosecutors said Noe gave 45,000 directly to 24 friends who made donations in their names allowing him to skirt the the $2,000 limit. All of the checks were written eight days leading up to a fundraiser in Oct. A year later Bush Victory in Ohio gave him the White House over John Kerry. The maximum sententance is 5 years in prison and $960,000 in fines. Noe's work for the GOP allowed him to meet with Bush several times on his visits to ohio.
