Assembly candidate suggests opponent might die in office
Associated Press

MODESTO, Calif. - A state Assembly candidate is suggesting that his opponent in the June primary election doesn't have the heart to serve in the Legislature.

And that's upset the opponent, who received a heart transplant six years ago.

"He's set a new low," candidate Tom Berryhill said. "This is the type of thing that keeps good people from running for office."

Berryhill, 52, is facing former Modesto City Councilman Bill Conrad in the campaign for the Republican nomination in the 25th Assembly District.

Conrad recently sent out a mailer to voters in the central California district saying Berryhill might not survive his two-year term if elected because of the heart transplant.

The mailer states in bold red letters: "Tom Berryhill doesn't have the HEART for State Assembly."
(snip/...)

3. Wonder what GOP would have done if we had campaigned against
Crash Cart Cheney on the basis of his heart history.

5. Olbermann's "Worst Person in the World?" Could be this guy, tonight.
A high quality nominee, that's for sure.

6. I wish that you had posted a warning
That pic really creeped me out.

I suddenly got this vision of Rummy as an old termite-infested piece of corrupt government furniture, with moldy cheetos between the cushions.

He's a slimy evil freakwad. Is that Cheney with him?

7. Yep. Even they were in their 30s once, and Our Leaders.
Gerald Ford kept them in their place. Another reason to respect him. They are madmen who went for wealth and power since then. Wish Jerry would kick their asses today, but I guess he is too old; probably oldest president ever, now (passing Adams, Reagan doesn't count). Would that we had Republicans like him now.

and career bureaucrats, and here they are, the two ultimate 'careerists' who were working in government (privatizing!) even when they were out of power.

Those two men are responsible for the fact that Eisenhower's warning about the military industrial complex has come to a nightmarish climax, courtesy of Dick and Don.

Edit: forgot to spell check

8. Didn't make the cut. Had to sear O'Reilly. Good.
This was better, but I understand he is calling O'Reilly out, and can't get the coward to respond. Keep it up, Keith.
