Poll: Most U.S. workers satisfied with pay
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=304f00f3bb6c8b84

Even though three of four U.S. workers are satisfied with their pay, nearly half would like to change the mix of benefits and money.

Hudson Highland Group Inc. said Wednesday its survey of U.S. employees found that 72 percent of respondents claim to be very or somewhat satisfied with their compensation.

But Hudson also found that 44 percent would change their mix of cash and benefits if they could.

I obviously didn't get to participate in this poll cause I can tell ya I'm not PAID ENOUGH!!!
Give me better health benefits and a pension and then I'll start getting satisfied...

Who are THEY KIDDING!!!

2. Rasmussen conducted the survey for them
and HHG is an HR firm. Haven't looked at the details yet but Rasmussen always has more favorable Bush polls, as I recall.

Additional information about the Hudson compensation survey and the Transforming Pay Plans: 2006 Compensation and Benefits Report can be found at http://www.hudson-index.com/. The survey is based on a national phone poll of 10,000 U.S. workers conducted March 20-26, 2006 and was compiled by Rasmussen Reports, LLC, an independent research firm (http://www.RasmussenReports.com). The margin of sampling error for a survey based on this number of interviews is approximately +/-1 percent with a 95 percent level of confidence.

3. Very or Somewhat????.....
Edited on Wed May-17-06 05:46 PM by catnhatnh
How about only 28% would publicly admit to the screwing they are getting???How about asking "are you totally, very,or somewhat pissed at your paycheck?" and as a second question, "or are you happy as a clam?"I'll bet that would shake up the ol' poll a bit.....

13. 28% Very Sat, 44% Somewhat Satisfied
For those making under 20K, 21% said very sat, 27% somewhat satisfied (48% satisfaction); for those making over 100K 41% were very sat, 43% were somewhat satisfied, for a whopping 84% satisfaction -- imagine that.

18. Lovely, isn't it?
The excel spreadsheet has hard coded percents in the cell so no way to judge cell populations in the various categories. There's also no methodological report that discusses how the sample was drawn, what the overall response rate was, whether weighting was used...

I match your grrr and raise you one -- grrr.
