Rice: Expect more violence in Iraq

Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice says Americans should be prepared for more violence in Iraq -- even after a government forms there.

During an appearance in Chicago today, Rice said she sees no equivalent of the V-E or V-J days the U-S celebrated during World War II. She says conquering terrorism in Iraq will be a gradual process.

Rice gave a 20-minute speech before the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations and then took more than an hour of questions from the audience.

Topics included Iran's disputed nuclear program, China's desire for new energy sources and human rights issues in Egypt.

Local radio idiot was talking one day about possible candidates in 2008. He said that Mark Warner (our former Gov.) was a possibility (he's running) and then they started talking about Republicans. Condi's name came up he said "Well there is nothing that they have on her. No one has any gripe about Condileeza Rice" He was dead serious. He is unbelieveably uninformed and unconcerned.

My best friend is running for a spot as libertarian and we agree on many things.
