U.S. won't delay introducing new (Canadian) border security measures
http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2006/04/18/border060418.html

The United States says it has no intention of delaying its plan to introduce tougher security checks at border crossings, including with Canada.

Michael Chertoff, the U.S. Homeland Security secretary, told Stockwell Day, Canada's minister of public safety, that the new regulations will come into effect Jan. 1, 2008.

As of that date, Canadians will need a passport to enter the United States at land border crossings, and Washington will require Americans to obtain a new security identity card to re-enter the country.

... The Conference Board of Canada has examined the issue and found that just nine per cent of Americans without passports would be interested in obtaining the new security card. The economic think-tank predicts trouble ahead, especially for the tourism industry.

5. right after the election, it will be a 'conditional' draft, men and women
will have to register and declare their education and training.. it will evolve into an Israeli type universal 2 year renewable Obligation.

if a draft able person acquires a certification, training or license they have to report it to the draft office.. these people will replace the clerks and soldiers doing support work, freeing up more Cannon Fodder for the NeoCon march into worldwide chaos.

from what was said if you do get drafted in order to prevent automatic stop loss for ever the draftee can join the army for a contracted period and not get stop lossed till they are 34

the NeoCons learned a lot form Chinas institutional slavery

4. Stockwell would be Doris if his own platforms had been put into effect....
Edited on Tue Apr-18-06 11:47 PM by Jazz2006
He is a far RW whacko who campaigned back in 2000 for a now-defunct political party that advocated that any petition with 3% of Canadian voters' signatures would trigger a referendum on any subject.

Subsequently, Rick Mercer etal put up a mock online petition that called for a referendum on whether Stockwell should change his first name to Doris.

The petition, needless to say, garnered in excess of the 3% he was calling for.

Hee hee.

Sorry for being off topic, but it cracked me up!

On edit: what does NOT crack me up is that 6 years later, this nutcase is Canada's "minister of safety" - whatever that means.

6. To discourage Americans from visiting other countries
The less Americans know about how other people live, the easier it is to bamboozle them with propaganda

8. Only If the GOP Still Exists To Ensure Implementation
There ain't any law that can't be changed, especially if it's unconstitutional on the face of it.
