Kennedy, Reed won't rule out censure

BOSTON (AP) -- Sen. Russ Feingold's call for censuring President Bush has limited support, but two New England Democrats said on Sunday that they won't rule it out.

Feingold's resolution would censure the president for authorizing a warrantless surveillance program, which the Wisconsin Democrat contends is illegal. Co-sponsors are Democratic Sens. Tom Harkin of Iowa and Barbara Boxer of California.

Critics in Feingold's own party have said the issue is dividing Democrats, while energizing Republicans. Other Democrats have said bringing up such a punishment is not helpful before an investigation of the eavesdropping program is complete.

Massachusetts Sen. Edward M. Kennedy agreed that it is too early to consider censure. He would not, however, rule out voting for such a measure if the Bush administration stonewalls a congressional investigation.

"It's a close case," Kennedy said on CBS' "Face the Nation."

2. The Investigation gambit is BS. He ADMITTED HE DID IT. We do not have
to wait for the Republicans to investigate their own before we IMPEACH HIM.

That is the choice in November.
Ask every candidate
"Do you oppose the occupation of Iraq?"
"Will you impeach the chimp?"

If they say "NO" to either tell them they do not get your vote.

3. Agree that Bu$h has admitted to breaking the law
all an investigation will do is let the Republicans re-write the law and say that what Bu$h did is legal now.

8. Bush was raping the Constitution and got caught with his pants down
Bush then dares the public to do anything about it. The weenie Democrats ignore the evidence of the victim being raped, and the rapist caught in the act, and start talking about passing a law making rape legal if it is done by Bush.

5. Kennedy: "...too early to consider censure."
WTF?

If Bush started raping 9 year old Catholic school girls on the White House lawn would you consider it then?

How about if he sets off a nuclear bomb in Iran? What about in Massachusetts?

Good grief people, what does this man need to do to be held accountable? Too early to consider censure? I think it's way overdue, and so do the American people. Check the polls, he is not a popular President.

DO YOUR JOB - DO WHAT YOU WERE PUT IN OFFICE TO DO.

Hint: It is not to allow the Constitution and our rights to be trampled.

CONGRESS: DO YOUR JOB!

13. Looky who's been reading their "magic 8 ball" again.
Reid sure is quick on the take & very forthright with the right thing to do!

(sarcasm off)

What a weasling, vascillating, spineless "leader"!

What's the matter Harry, finally got your finger wet and stuck it up in the air to see which way the wind was blowing - again?

God I hate spinelessness.

14. Ok, so Bushco is lying left and right about everything...
and Kennedy calls it a "close case" in regards to this censure resolution? Why are these guys so damn timid on this? If a president with a D next to his name was breaking the law, you could be sure that the GOP would have this thing through the senate already.
