$10 million gamble may not pay off for Harris
Mar. 16, 2006

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris is willing to take a $10 million gamble that she can convince voters that neither she nor Sen. Bill Nelson are the people that Floridians think they are.

Many political observers think it's a very risky bet.

"I would be surprised if it's going to bale her out," said Carol Weissert, a Florida State University political science professor. "I can't imagine it's going to do much."

"Her image is so chiseled in stone in such a negative way that even though she's pumping in $10 million of her own money, much of that is going to have to be used to create a positive image of her and $10 million isn't going to be enough," said Darryl Paulson, a University of South Florida political science professor who is a Republican.

3. She needs to tell us the truth about the 2000 election, turn against the
repubs and become a liberal. Then she doesn't have to spend $10 million of her own money.

4. That is absolutely hilarious!!!
I hate to see good money go to waste. Every time I hear her name I want to puke. She should spend that money on some new plastic surgery, change her identity and move to another country. She does not deserve to call herself an American.

work for her campaign ..... Betya I could spend that 10 million in nothing flat .....

"Ms. Harris, I think we should sink $2.5 mill right now into kites with your picture on it
.... and .... and .... they will be flying high just like your run for the senate .... ah could

Yes!
that'll fly. *snicker, groan*

That additional suggestion should be good for a 1.4 mil consultation fee.

No worries, Kat, Botany and soup are on the job.

Why do I get the feeling that it simply doesn't matter whom the Imperial Subjects of the Florida Province vote for?

17. It ought not to pay off either way.
Even if a person wins an election, it shouldn't make spending $10 million of her own money good "investment".

29. wouldn't common sense dictate....
That if people aren't going to donate to your campaign, it means they don't support you nor will they vote for you?
And, if you have to spend your own 10 million you admit you don't have the support.

Aren't there foundations, non-profits, needy people in Florida? OR, is it that a senators vote can be sold at a price that she could recoup the 10 mil in short order.

Ben Nelson should raise these questions in light of the current Republican corruption.

Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 11:29 AM by Blaze Diem
Mutt & Jeff?

Maybe that's where the $10million investment is..
A regular Paula Jones.."look at me..weeee"
She's a poser with nothing to offer the good of our Nation, yet she collects government wages, perks ( and not just her boobies), junkets, and Complete Medical Care as well as lifelong retirement benes from the US lower & middle class taxpayers.
Notice that no one in her financial circle has to pay tax increases under her bosom buddy (bosom?) heir stupid george.

She is disgusting.
She is the epitome of GOP sleeze.

ten million dollar boob job..for that we could have got george or jeb some new brains.

Hello Hustler Magazine??
