UK: Met chief faces new Menezes query (BBC)

Met Police chief Sir Ian Blair is facing new questions over when he knew an innocent man had been shot dead on the London Underground last year.
He has always said he did not know that Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes had been killed until the following day.

But the BBC has learnt of a claim that a close aide of Sir Ian believed just six hours after the shooting that the wrong man had been shot.

Mr Menezes was shot at Stockwell after being mistaken for a terror suspect.
