Hiring prospects up around the world
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=bcfb7a512b535298

Second-quarter hiring is expected to be positive in 23 of 24 countries and territories surveyed by Manpower Inc.

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey found Japanese and German employers the most optimistic, with the strongest prospects in Japan, India, Taiwan, Peru, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

Only Italian employers indicated they would be reducing staff.

German employers are saying they will begin to add employees again, albeit modestly, and hiring activity in Japan should be vigorous, beyond what we normally see in the second quarter -- their peak hiring season, said Jeffrey A. Joerres, chairman and chief executive officer of Manpower Inc. Chinese employers say they will reduce their hiring activity compared to last year at this time, while U.S. employers expect to add to their payrolls at a continued steady pace.

2. Of course
Manpower is reporting this, happens every year, temp companies hire people at the beginning if spring, such as the case with a lot of warehouse positiions. They then keep the people on till right at their 90-120 days till the company their temped out to can hire them then they get layed off like 3 days before. The temp companies says the workload has went down so they tell the employees they'll call them if they need them to come back, has happened to me before I get a call 6 months later saying ok we ready for you to come back, you just will have to start over on your 90-120 days. I ask them if they thought I was just going to wait till they called me back, they're like yeah why not. I tell them well I got another job 2 weeks after you pulled that shit on me, their like so that means your not coming back? I'm like yeah and then they say well your fired then and I say well what do you call what you did to me 6 months ago?

6. So many RWers complain about all the foreigners coming here
and taking our jobs. That problem may just sort itself out in a few more years.
