If you wish to respond, direct your criticisms, complaints, ridicule, etc, at Ralph via his
yahoo group. I am only in this because of some misinformation posted by a DU user. I am just the messenger, setting the record straight:
Many months ago I expressed my interests in running a campaign against Joe Lieberman as a Green.
A few colleagues of mine felt that I should run in the primary as a Democrat. Without a real challenger against Joe in the primary, I was considering this as an option.
This email went out to a list of a few friends and key members of the Democratic Party who opposed Joseph Lieberman.
With a challenger now running against Joe in the primary, I feel that it is best to oppose him in the General election rather than the Primary. I wish Ned Lamont the best at unseating Joe but unfortunately feel that he cannot do so.
As of now Ned is a one issue candidate, he opposes the war. We know from past experiences that one issue candidates cannot win. Look at Howard Dean, he ran off of many issues but lost to Kerry because not enough people know what other issues Howard Dean stood for except that he opposed the invasion of Iraq.
Also by running against Joe in the General, this will give us two chances of removing Lieberman from office. Ned in the Primary and Myself in the General.
