Poll: Most think bin Laden plots attack

PRINCETON, N.J., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A new CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll shows 70 percent of Americans think Osama bin Laden is planning "a significant terrorist attack" against the United States.

The poll was conducted after last week's release of an audiotape in which bin Laden warned that al-Qaida is continually planning attacks, but the survey indicated Americans' level of concern about terrorism has not changed over the past several months, Gallup said Wednesday.

While 70 percent of those polled said they believe bin Laden is planning an attack, only 30 percent said an attack would succeed.

Gallup said Americans are somewhat more optimistic than they have been in months about the U.S. conduct of the war on terrorism, and slightly more confident in the Bush administration's ability to protect the United States from terrorism.

from the evidence so far.

If BushCo couldn't properly prepare (with DAYS notice) and deal with the after math Hurricane Katrina (etc) and the flooding of NO...
If BushCo can't properly set up and run the Medicare Rx plan that has been in planning for more then a few months...
If we still aren't getting passing grades on diseaster response and preparation years after 911...

Then why on earth would anyone think we're safe from any REAL plan OBL (or any other "terrorist") may have in the works?

*IF* OBL is still alive and functional (and not a paper tiger) and if his threat is truly for real (and not just a BushCo MIHOP or even a LIHOP) BushCo won't know what to do any more then he did for Katrina, etc since we're apparently still not properly prepared for jack.
