War vet e-mailed 'suicide' note
"He was telling me that since he has been back from Iraq he has lost eight jobs and his wife of 11 years.

Doug Barber sent Craig Evans, 19, a message that read: "I have nothing to live for any more. I am going to be checking out of this world."

The 35-year-old former National Guardsman, from Lee County, Alabama, later shot himself in the head.

2. What a price
SUPPORT THE TROOPS
So heed the call
Smart the Uniform
Noble was the cause

Then why oh why
It is not true
That such noble deed
Can haunt one so.

A life given
A life lost
A future gone
When there should be hope

...." I have nothing to live for anymore. I am going to be checking out of this world."

We always heard of the glory of the return of the victorious troop.
What victory?

3. "He said that he didn't sign up with the army...
...he signed up with the National Guard..."

Is there enough karma in the universe for these hellish chickenhawk Republican bastards, putting people through this?

4. This man didn't commit suicide. He's a victim of negligent homicide.
At the hands of our president.

12. Amen. And all B** voters are in the conspiracy to commit the murder
So they could get their tax cut.....

There's no middle of the road, people. You're either helping serve these kids up to the war or you're not. There's no middle to that road.

6. Don doesn't care so we must care.. Vietnam haunting torment all over
again. I just erased a lot of words written in extreme bitterness. Please continue to post these stories. We can't be innocent because they are not.

The next time you see one of those pompous war mongering generals, bankers, barons, politicians, ceo's - stop and think about our kids. Profit by slaughter. For the benefit of a few.

All those kids. We are bonded to Iraq by killing them.

7. There was a law and order episode where....
the D.A. indicted Donald Rumsfeld for a death in the military. Oh, to be the ranking states attorney in Alabama. Of course, I'm willing to bet that the state's attorney in Alabama is not a progressive activist. One can dream, right?

11. Tragic...beyond words. Yet another 'casualty' of War. He SHOULD be counted
as "killled in action"...technically...since that's when his sould and will to live was destroyed beyond repair.

There are the immediately 'dead'...and the MANY, MANY 'living dead' who return from each war...never recovering, forever haunted...lives 'blown away' like many of their limbs.

Tragic, tragic, tragic. Women, it IS up to us. Men will NEVER stop War.

For all we know, maybe the "tainted" water these soldiers consumed could've eaten his brain as well. Not to mention, all the depleted uranium.
