Bush defends Blair, says he is not a yes man

MANHATTAN, Kan., Jan 23 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush defended British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Monday against criticism that he is Bush's yes man.

Asked by a British citizen whether he thought Blair was a yes man for the Bush administration, Bush said he and Blair sometimes disagreed on tactics but shared core beliefs and thought the criticism demeaning to Blair's character.

"I'm sorry that his relationship with me causes him political problems at home. You know, sometimes I can be little allergic for people overseas, if you know what I mean," he said during a question-and-answer session at Kansas State University.

3. 'Tony'
Notice it's always "Tony"..not showing much respect for a head of state. He did this with Putin too; once while they were standing there together. I can't believe this is appreciated, regardless! Classless moron!!!

25. SOMEONE should ask Dumbass about Poodle's ARBUSTO
involvement via Bill Gammel's CAIRN OIL, and how their disastrous 1981 scam to go into partnership with Saddam to go oil prospecting in Syria went seriously belly-up.

Guess they all think this pesky subject has gone away and is buried along with Ronnie Raygun's dodgy KGB past.

Well, it ain't....

20. He's no yes man,

but he does have a strange habit, whenever he comes for a visit to the White House he likes to lie on the floor of the Oval Office and have me scratch his tummy for him. I thought it was strange at first, but Karl tells me it 's not unusual for those British folks to be quite eccentric at times.

24. The PM has "great courage"...

SNIP:

"I'm sure that his relationship with me causes him problems at home," Mr Bush added.
------------------
"Sometimes I can be a little allergic for people overseas."

----------------------------

Mr Bush said such views were "demeaning" to Mr Blair's character and his "strength of conviction".

"I'm very aware of the political difficulties he faces," he said.

--------------------------

"When we make hard decisions like we've made it creates angst."
----------------------------
The president told his audience he admires Mr Blair because "he is a person of great courage".
