WASHINGTON, Jan 19 (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney said a conditional truce offer in a tape attributed to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden on Thursday appeared to be a ploy but he was not ready to draw any conclusions.

Asked about the offer, Cheney told Fox News in an interview, "I'm not sure what he's offering by way of a truce. I don't think anybody would believe him ... It sounds to me like it's some kind of a ploy but again not having seen the entire text or validated the tape and the timing of it, I'm reluctant to draw any conclusions."

little game. First, I thought that four years ago, Cowboy George was 'gonna smoke'm outta his cave' because of 9/11. I also thought the US doesn not 'negotiate with terrorists' (another joke coming from the Iran/Contra criminals now in power).

This is nothing but more fiction, more federal fairy tales to distract from the complete failure of the war in Iraq.

It's also trying to make us believe that the Iraq war had something to do with terror, WHEN IT DID NOT!! Why on earth would Osama be asking for a truce when what serves him best IS the war in Iraq, and Bush is not even interested in finding the culprits responsible for 9/11 (most likely because he knows who they are). Osama has nothing to fear from this administration. He never did, we went to the wrong country, remember Cheney??? Even though Cheney tried to lie and lie and lie about an Al Queda/Iraq connection, the one he and Feith and Ledeen cooked up in their OSP and the rest of us wouldn't believe.
