WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With embattled British Prime Minister Tony Blair at his side, President Bush on Thursday stood by his assertion that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was trying to reconstitute his nuclear weapons program and declared: "We won't be proven wrong."

At a joint White House press conference, Bush and Blair closed ranks in defense of U.S. and British intelligence on Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction, which they used to justify invading the country and toppling its leader.

6. So what if they were TRYING TO REBUILD...

this does not translate into "imminent threat" a real threat or a threat to US safety and security. If it does, even Israel's nuclear arsenal is a threat to the US.

The point is that this cabal used deceit, deception, distortion, and outright lies to whip the American public and cower the Congress into a frenzy over the imagined threat of Iraq to the US and the bogus link of Saddam to al-qaeda...the invasion was not necessary when they did it...PERIOD!!!! And they (UK/US) did it arrogantly, aggressively, and without provocation...when most of the world and Iraqs neighbors (except for Israel) felt that Iraq was no real threat to them. Not even Kuwait thought that.
