Bush decries Democrats for stalling Patriot Act - Wednesday 12/21/05
Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 11:03 AM by stop the bleeding

President George W. Bush called on Senate Democrats on Wednesday to reauthorize key anti-terrorism legislation, saying it was "inexcusable" to block renewal of the law in the face of terrorist threats.

"In order to protect America, the United States Senate must reauthorize the Patriot Act," Bush said on the White House South Lawn before departing to meet with injured troops at a Naval hospital in suburban Bethesda, Maryland.

    9. Why is Bush hung up on Congress passing a law?
He doesn't follow the laws anyway. He's his own legislative, judicial and executive all rolled into one: He decides what the law is, how it's interpreted and then goes and does whatever the hell he wants to do.

But I'm sure he finds it mickle odd that after so much lying over the last five or ten years, some people have learned not to trust him, anything he says or anything he does.

    10. Tell him to talk to Frist.
It is his own party that is holding it up by refusing to extend it for three months.

    16. Why isn't Bush in jail?
According to Sen. Graham, a former member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Bush dropped the ball at least 12 times in preventing 9/11. All the information needed to stop 9/11 was at hand without benefit of the so-called "Patriot Act." Bush refuses to testify under oath about "September the 11th." He boasts of how he intends to continue breaking the laws of this country. Why is this guy allowed to make any statements at all, other than an answer to "how does the defendant plead?"
